Question: In the final scene with the Lonely Mountain in view, is the sun rising or setting? Does either actually work with their location?
Answer: The sun is rising. The sun is in the East which does make sense, but because Middle Earth is a fictional world it is possible for it to break the rules of our world. The important thing is that the sun remains more or less in the same location for the entire scene.
Question: When Mrs. Travers arrives at her hotel there are two pieces of luggage that she picks up and takes in the room herself, when she leaves she has those two pieces plus a large suitcase. Where did it come from?
Answer: The large suitcase was most likely carrying the large Mickey mouse doll that she decided to keep. The size alone would require an extra case.
Question: Who is making the death threat letters to Rachel? is it her sister or the blond pervert? if it's the blond pervert, why is he doing it? I thought he loved her and was obsessed with her, so why is he sending her death threat letters?
Answer: Nikki didn't know who was writing the letters, she did say they were her thoughts, but she didn't write them, the blonde stalker did.
Chosen answer: It was the blond pervert. He was sending them in a sort of "I'm so obsessed with you I want to kill you" kind of way. Most celebrities get death threats all the time from "fans" who want to kill them and they want everyone to know it was them who did it. The sister wouldn't send them as she had hired a professional and did actually want to kill her, but without anyone knowing.
From what I remember the sister admitted that she sent the letters because she said she hates her sister I'd have to rewatch it to see if I was mistaken but that's when she was coming clean to the bodyguard after the canoe was blown up.
No, her sister says that the letters started showing up BEFORE, and they are what made her think she could actually do it. It was the blonde perv.
No Nikki tells Frank she doesn't know who's writing the letters, but they were her thoughts because she hates Rachel. The letters made her think she could go through with having her sister killed.
Question: In the first movie, in the theatre, I could swear that there was a scene of Zion. It was quick, but it was a modern, high tech view of what Zion supposedly looked like, deep within the earth, out of the range of the AI machines. I remember being disappointed when the 2nd movie came out, and Zion was instead portrayed as a smart but rough kind of camping out place, with obvious dirt issues. Can anyone confirm that they saw such a high tech scene of Zion in the theatrical release? I know the DVD doesn't have it. Things like this do occasionally happen - in the last original cast Star Trek movie, "Undiscovered Country" the Klingon who tries to kill the President and Captain Kirk at the end, and falls to his death, is "de-masked" to reveal a co-conspirator in the theatrical release and the first DVD release, but in subsequent DVD releases, including the Blu-Ray, this scene was removed.
Chosen answer: I've seen The Matrix many times (20+) in the theatre, and I have not seen any such imagery of Zion. There is no artwork in the book "The Art of The Matrix" which shows it either and no mention in the shooting script. It seems unlikely that Zion would be "shiny" and high-tech as the appearance of Zion in the sequel films matches the decor and dress sense of the Nebuchadnezzar and her crew in the first film - grungy and "used". There are some modern looking Zion scenes in Reloaded with the traffic control operators, but they are working in a virtual construct.
Question: Why in the kitchen at the Masoods' house do they have a 4 gang light switch? 1 would be for the main light. There are no under cabinet lights, the outside lights wouldn't be switched from here either. I'm an electrician and every time I see the switch it annoys me.
Answer: Most likely a mistake by the set designers or it's a recycled set which already had the switch on (they just repaint and add other fittings).
At my workplace there is a two-gang switch with a three-gang switch underneath it, one of which is for the shop lights, the other four have no apparent use.
Question: What happened to the Queen's Crown after she put it on top of that rock to go fishing? I do not recall it being shown in the movie after that, maybe they forgot about it or I missed something?
Answer: They forgot about it. They also got her a new crown because the original one is lost.
Answer: The mother (as a bear) placed it on a rock right before the first time she temporarily turned into a full bear.
Question: In the scene where Aragon, Gimli and Legolas managed to escape the mountain after the Army of the Dead tried to crush them with sculls and Aragon sees the Corsairs marauding the lands, before the King of the dead appears again, what piece of the soundtrack is played in the background? I can't seem to find it on the official soundtrack, neither as a separate piece nor as part of a larger piece. Can anyone help?
Answer: That cue is only on the 4 CD "Complete Recordings" version of The Return Of The King, released in 2007.
Question: I am curious why there is no lag whatsoever in communications between the Odyssey and Ground Control. We are told that the Tet is initially pretty far out in space, and even fairly close in to Earth there would still be noticeable delays. This instantaneous communication would seem to require some sort of faster-than-light system, which physics says is impossible. So, is there an explanation or is this a mistake? Seems odd to me given the care taken to design the drones and bubble craft.
Answer: There are theories to beat FTL communication, (if not travel) the fact that they are doing it in this film means they must have implemented a solution. Otherwise it has to be put down to either an oversight, or the director traded realism for drama. A long delay would probably irritate the audience.
Question: If Marty goes back to the future and sees a duplicate of himself go back to the past, would the duplicate see the Marty that had just got back to the future watch him (the duplicate that goes to the past), thus 3 Deloreans and infinitely more Deloreans as it continues...and so on and so forth, or is that the the universe rewriting his timeline to prevent this time loop of paradoxical events?
Chosen answer: There wouldn't be infinitely more Deloreans, as versions of Marty would keep having to leave in order to appear at a different point in the timeline to watch himself. There's no real limit on how many there could be at once though - at one point on November 12th 1955 there are four Deloreans in Hill Valley at the same time (brought there by Marty from the first film, Marty from the second film, Biff from the second film, and the one Doc buried from 1885). They're all the same car, just travelling from different points in time.
Question: In the last part of the movie, how are they supposed to drive the snow vehicles? There is a scene before where they cut the wires of all the vehicles to disable them for the quarantine. Am I missing something?
Chosen answer: By disabling the snow vehicles, they are making sure that the creature can't use them to escape from the quarantine zone. Since the creature can assimilate anybody, it would probably know how to use one.
Question: Is it out of character for Sheldon to be willing to donate sperm just for money considering that he has no interest in sex?
Chosen answer: Sheldon believes himself to be superior to all other humans and therefore his lack of desire for sex is only superseded by his desire to create a superior sub-species of human. This concept is also seen later in the series when he and Amy consider having a baby together to make a super smart child (by invitro of course).
Good answer. It also happens when Missy talks to Sheldon and he mentions something about storing eggs and finding the perfect donor.
Question: I don't understand the ending of the movie when Sue is screaming in her mother's arms and there is a cross on her wall - is she supposed to become a Jesus freak like Carrie's mom, or is her baby gonna have powers like Carrie?
Answer: Sue just woke up from a terrifying nightmare in which Carrie's arm reaches out of her grave and grabs Sue. A lot of hospitals have crosses in the rooms. It's been suggested that Sue might have miscarried and lost her baby.
Question: I have seen early concept art works of this movie. Was Maximus really supposed to be black, but had his color changed to white?
Answer: Yes, he was. His color was changed either because of the castle being white, or simply because he looked strange.
Question: Who is the brunette girl at the end of the movie sitting on Steve‘s lap wearing a bikini? Where did she come from? She was not part of the group.
Chosen answer: Some woman he met before the outbreak. The clips we see are not all from the survivors' recordings.
Question: Tron fought for the users, so how was Clu able to make Tron serve him?
Answer: Because Clu was given all the authority of the most important user, the creator, Flynn.
But what did Clu do to Tron to make him serve him? Tron fought for the Users so it would make no sense for him to suddenly side with Clu who wanted to create the perfect system and help him in annihilating the ISO's.
When Clu and co. attacked Tron and Flynn, Flynn's disc must have been damaged, removing his personality in a way similar to amnesia. This allowed Clu, now master of the system, to gain control of Tron's skills. Later, when Prinzler saw Flynn, he remembered him and what he did, and regained his original purpose.
The answer was in the movie itself. During a conversion between Sam and his father it is mentioned that Clu had the ability to repurpose programs. This is the action that allowed him to "build" the perfect system. The isos were manifested without creation from anything and had genuine freedom that Clu couldn't repurpose. This is why he destroyed them because it threatened his strategy to create perfection. Answer: Clu repurposed Tron to serve him and do his bidding. That simple.
Question: Since Jack/Victoria are clones, what is the purpose of using 'Sally'? And if Jack is having flashbacks/memories of his wife, wouldn't he have flashbacks of Sally as part of mission control?
Answer: Jack and Victoria believe that they are there on behalf of the human race, so it makes sense for them to have a human face to interact with. Sally is a logical candidate - the Tet would presumably have intercepted her transmissions to the Odyssey and would therefore have plenty to work with in constructing their fake Sally as an interface with their clone workers. It's not made clear in the movie how the original Jack's memories of Julia survived to resurface in his clones, but it seems reasonable that it might be related to the powerful emotions that are associated with those memories, in this case his love for his wife. Sally and Victoria would also feature significantly in the original Jack's memories, but without the same emotional investment, those memories failed to make the transfer into his clones.
Question: At the end, how is it that Alan and Sarah remember Judy and Peter, if they grew up as if nothing had happened?
Chosen answer: Alan and Sarah remember everything that had happened during the course of the game's length, as would Judy and Peter if they'd been alive yet when the game started. All players retain their memory of the game after it ends, except in this sort of unusual circumstance where two of them didn't exist at the time the game began.
With the logic of Jumanji 2, Judy and Peter will also remember Jumanji in 1995. They still do not remember it because the final scene of the first film is at Christmas 1994.
Too bad Jumanji 2 has no logic and has nothing to do with this one except the name.
The logic of Jumanji 2 (which this is) doesn't apply because the idea is in the original Jumanji film, Alan and Sarah changed Judy and Peter's history and they ended up never playing the game. In Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Alex does nothing to change the history of the 4 main characters, therefore, they go on to play the game after Alex returns to his own time.
Answer: Actually I believe the kids did remember there was a silent look shared between all them at the end when they meet up that many people say is confusion but I think its more along the lines of "hey don't blow this shared secret none of us can explain"
Nah there is no indication that Peter an Judy remembered as well. Think about it, they would have remembers from since they were born. Also, they would then also know their parents will die in an accident. Thats crazy. They had that look because Alan and Sarah reacted that way and were wondering why they did that. They didn't say anything and even wondered why Alan and Sarah so emphatically said "no" to their parents going skiing (where they would have their accident).
I feel Judy and Peter remember Alan and Sarah because when Alan and Sarah shouted that Judy and Peters parents cannot go for the skiing vacation Judy and Peter did not have a shocked look on their face instead they had a smile on their face.

Chosen answer: No. There are small instances on "Star Trek: TNG" where Picard speaks French on board the Enterprise, without the Universal Translator altering it. Were he always speaking French, the Universal Translator would make no distinction when he was speaking French as a matter of course, or speaking French for a particular effect. In the episode "Code of Honor", Data refers to French as an "archaic language" on Earth, to which Picard takes umbrage. I suspect Data would have known if Picard were actually speaking French at the time.
