Continuity mistake: When Captain Haddock shows Tintin the journal that belonged to Sir Francis Haddock, it's brown. Much later on in the episode, after Haddock has finished telling Tintin about the story of Francis Haddock, the journal is suddenly much lighter.(00:11:40 - 00:19:45)
Continuity mistake: When the pirates are partying, one of them throws a wine bottle towards the tied up Francis Haddock. One of his hands is shown tied and wrapped in ropes. The shot then switches to a close-up of his hand, which is now wrapped around the ropes tying his body to the mast, and not the other ropes shown a second ago.(00:17:10)
Continuity mistake: Tintin, Haddock and Snowy are walking down the street and Haddock says he's going to be rich and tosses his hat in the air. There is a lamppost right next to Tintin. A man then opens his window, telling Haddock to keep the noise down and Tintin is suddenly standing about a foot away from the post.(00:26:20)
Continuity mistake: When Tintin, Haddock and Snowy are walking down the street, they stop walking for a moment next to a lamppost. The shadow of the post is first cast across the building next to it. About two shots afterwards, the shadow is suddenly cast on the sidewalk directly in front of it.(00:26:20)
Continuity mistake: Thomson shows Tintin that he has had an elastic band attached to the wallet in his pocket as an attempt to catch the pickpocket. When they first use, the wallet with the elastic band is in Thomson's right pocket. In the next scene, when the pickpocket attempts to steal Thomson's wallet, it is now inside his left pocket.(00:30:20)
Continuity mistake: Tintin, Haddock, Snowy and the detectives are back at the office after getting the pickpocket's coat and Tintin's wallet. Tintin opens his wallet and takes out the scroll inside it. When he takes out the scroll, the scroll is smooth and undamaged. He then hands the scroll to Haddock and it is suddenly tattered.(00:31:05)
Continuity mistake: Tintin is in the courtyard of Marlinspike Hall and convinced he has escaped the Bird brothers. Tintin then gets whacked on the head by the butler with a long stick. In the shot where Tintin gets hit, the stick is very thick. The shot then changes to the butler saying "I got him" and the stick is suddenly much thinner.(00:39:30)
Continuity mistake: After Snowy bites the hand of the Bird brother with the gun, Tintin punches both of them and knocks them out. One of the brothers lands with his legs landing on the bottom half of the other brother's right leg. Captain Haddock then appears in scene and now the brother suddenly has his legs placed on the top half of both the other brother's legs.(00:40:10)
Continuity mistake: When Oswaldo, Joe, Bob and Jody are walking into the cabin, Six-Horse Judy introduces them to the owner, Minnie. In this shot, Minnie's hands are placed together with each other. The shot then changes and her right hand is suddenly placed on her hip.(02:03:10)
Continuity mistake: When Maddie is coming up with an ending to her novel, she opens one of the ending drafts. Not long after opening the draft, she decides to go on facetime and make a call, whilst the draft is still open, then the man she is trying to contact calls her back. She then closes the laptop and tidies up. When she returns and opens up the laptop, the draft that was just shown on the laptop has become a completely different one.(00:10:10 - 00:14:25)
Continuity mistake: Mr. Silk is showing Thomson and Thompson to the door whilst Tintin exits with the scrolls and Max Bird's diary. When Tintin exits Silk's room whilst saying "Mr. Silk who made the mistake, gentleman", Tintin is holding the scrolls and the wallet and nothing is sticking out of the wallet. Tintin then exits the room handing the wallet to the detectives, and there are suddenly papers sticking out of it.(00:42:45)
Continuity mistake: Tintin picks up a red book at the market which he states is a new one. At this moment, he is holding the book with the front cover facing Tintin. The shot then changes to a shot from behind Tintin, showing him paying for the book, where it switches to the back cover facing him.(00:02:15)
Continuity mistake: Tintin runs up to Captain Haddock's apartment door and begins knocking on the door. When Tintin begins knocking, the colour of Haddock's door is brown. In the next shot, the colour of the door is suddenly red. Then in the shot after that, the colour of the door is suddenly back to brown again.(00:10:25)
Continuity mistake: When Haddock throws his hat in the air, there is a lamp post located next to Tintin and it is a light blue colour. A couple of shots later, the lamp post is suddenly a much darker turquoise colour.(00:26:20)
Continuity mistake: When Tintin wakes up in the room, a voice tells him to check the intercom. The entire wall surrounding the intercom is blue. Tintin then walks up to the intercom and the surrounding wall is suddenly green.(00:34:50)
Continuity mistake: When the voice on the intercom tells Tintin he wants the parchments, the close-up shots of the intercom show two screws visible at each end of it. But in the shots from further away, the two screws are not visible in the intercom.(00:34:55)
Continuity mistake: When Tintin wakes up after being hit on the head by the butler, the Bird brothers are shown pointing a gun at him saying "We've wasted enough time." The gun is pointed at his noise in the first shot. The shot then changes and the gun is suddenly being pointed at his cheek.(00:39:55)
Continuity mistake: When Tintin discovers Mr. Silk's wallet collection, he finds Max Bird's wallet, located in the middle of one of the shelves, being the red wallet. The red wallet located in the middle was not visible in the previous shot.(00:42:20)
Continuity mistake: When they are discussing whose pinkie gets cut off, Vince grabs Craig by the neck and pushes him against the refrigerator. Craig is first shown pushed against the right hand side of the refrigerator, but whenever the camera is on him for the rest of the scene, he is shown standing against the left hand side of the refrigerator.
Continuity mistake: The Big Score: Once Franklin has drilled down the wall between the underground construction site and the bank's vaults, Franklin will have to blow down the cages where the gold is contained. After blowing down the cages, there will be a hole in the door for the others to take the gold out of the vaults and the NOOSE team will appear to take everyone out. If Franklin is killed by the NOOSE team, he will have to drill down the wall and blow the cages all over again. When Franklin goes to blow down the cages, the cage doors are now in the position they were in when they were blown off during the previous attempt, even though Franklin hasn't actually gotten to this part yet.
