The Brady Bunch (1969)

Confessions, Confessions - S2-E12

Corrected entry: While in the store to shop for glue to fix the broken vase, the man tells Bobby the glue he's holding is a 'special glue' that will fix anything which is really just a standard tube of Elmer's Glue used by any household for craft projects.

eaglegrad16

Correction: At the store, the man never uses the words "special glue" nor does the man say that it "will fix anything" while he's talking with the kids. The man actually says, "This is the best glue we've got, kids," and has them read the bottle's label about it being "good for vases," it being "not invisible," and he tells them "you've got to squint to see it." Also, it is Peter holding the Elmer's Glue-All bottle, not Bobby.

The Brady Bunch (1969)

Correction: Alice calls the Zap-It Exterminator Co, and says, "This is the Brady residence, you did a termite inspection for us a while back," then Alice ends the call with, "Yes, I'll be waiting." So the Zap-It exterminators already have their address on file from the termite inspection.

Super Grover

Despite Alice telling them 'it's the Brady residence', there could have been a dozen or so residents in the area last named Brady. So there'd be no way of knowing which one was actually calling, as doubtful they had caller ID or call tracer in 1970.

eaglegrad16

But it's entirely believable that this specific exterminator might only have worked for one Brady household, and therefore knows who's calling.

Blue Bloods (2010)

Worst Case Scenario - S6-E1

Continuity mistake: During the takedown at the apartment Danny is entering the building wearing hoodie and the shield around his neck, going upstairs, the next shot he is in shirt tie and vest at the staging area, then he is back in the apartment in the doorway in his hoodie, then he is in the street in vest and tie. (00:20:48 - 00:22:21)

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Danny is not one of the 4 men who follow Maria Baez inside and up the stairs (at 00:20:40). They are John Knight and his 3 men, all plainclothes with their shields hanging from necks. Earlier, right before Baez and the 4 men head out to the apartment, John Knight is standing near his 3 men inside the Clyde motorcycle shop (at 00:18:46 for example). Rewatch please.

Suggested correction: In episode 1x23, Beaver and Poncho, when Beaver brings home a lost little Chihuahua, he shows his parents and asks to keep him. Then Ward tells him, "You and Wally had a dog once, remember? You didn't take care of him. We had to give him away." This explains what happened to the dog from season 1, Captain Jack episode.

Emergency! (1972)

An Ounce of Prevention - S6-E13

Corrected entry: As Roy and the stagehand are bringing in the equipment to treat the shock victim Engine 51 rolls into the scene. Not enough time has passed for the engine to respond. They haven't even started treating the victim yet.

Correction: First, Cap and other guys at Station 51 were watching the live TV show, then heard the explosion happen live, so Engine 51 rolled out immediately and notified dispatch. Second, we don't know how far the set of the Tom Jensen Show is from Station 51. It cannot be a plot hole since we don't have the necessary information. All we know is Roy and John were cleared for 90 minutes. Third, when Jensen tells his live audience, "What you're witnessing is remarkable" John has already begun treating the victim with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, while Roy and Jensen's guy go to wherever Squad 51 is parked outside, to get the stowed paramedic supplies. Then the shot dissolves (we don't know how much time goes by - 2, 3 minutes?) and cuts to Engine 51 arriving on scene, as Roy and Jensen's guy return with all the gear.

Super Grover

Engine 51 cannot just roll out since they saw it live. If they were the closest to the show, they would need to be dispatched to the fire. As we don't know where the show is, there may be another station closer.

Three's Company (1977)

Correction: Doreen is wearing a ring with a raised dark center stone - it glistens as she moves her hand. It looks like a regular ring that women wore on either their right or left hand; it's not a wedding band.

Super Grover

Explain how you know this for sure - as it certainly resembles a wedding band.

pgsgrad16

Explain? Alright. I watched the episode, and Doreen's ring does not look like a wedding band. It appears to be just a normal ring with at least one raised dark gemstone.

Super Grover

Correction: Generally the idea of seeing a character wearing a wedding ring as a mistake is because in real life the actor or actress forget to take off their wedding ring. In real life, Lee Crawford (who plays Doreen) was divorced in 1978 and wasn't married or engaged at the time of shooting the episode. So it's just a character choice to wear a ring on her left hand and doesn't mean she's married or engaged.

Bishop73

The very point being, that she is wearing on one on her hand, when she's supposed to be single in this episode. So the mistake stands.

pgsgrad16

No, because it's a character choice. People who are single wear rings on their left ring finger for a variety of reasons, none of which indicates it's a wedding band or that they're married.

Ten Commandments (1956)

Corrected entry: When Moses interrogates Bithiah about where he came from, the ring on his finger disappears between shots.

Correction: The ring on his right hand has not vanished, it's merely blocked from view, so we can't see the ring until he moves his hand, which he does. The lower screenshot is deceiving, because if you keep watching this very same shot just as Bithiah says, "Who else? Memnet nursed Ramses. She shall pay for spreading his lies," Moses moves his right hand and we do see his ring, at the top of the screen. He is wearing this ring during the entire scene with Bithiah. See a clip here: https://i.imgur.com/tt2doBf.mp4.

Super Grover

Correction: The mistake's attached YouTube video is unreliable, because it's cut off at the top of the screen when Moses moves his hand. The ring has not disappeared, it's just blocked from view, and when he moves his hand the ring becomes visible at the top of the screen. Here's a clear clip of the relevant part of the scene: https://i.imgur.com/tt2doBf.mp4.

Devotion (2022)

Corrected entry: Ensign Goode comes home and starts to play with his wife while carrying their daughter. He is in his Navy Uniform. While hiding in the dark, his wife uses a flashlight and sees him. Only now he is in civilian clothes. (00:15:40)

toroscan

Correction: It's not Ensign Marty Goode who has a wife and daughter, it's Ensign Jesse Brown, and Ensign Brown is not wearing his Navy uniform during this scene. When Jesse gets out of the car (00:13:25) he's wearing a leather bomber jacket with his Squadron patch, a plaid shirt, and blue trousers. When Jesse enters his home, he silently removes his bomber jacket then surprises his wife. He continues to wear the plaid shirt and blue trousers until the end of the scene, when Jesse opens the door for the police (00:15:40).

The Waltons (1972)

Correction: The kerfuffle on the bridge is between sophomores and freshmen, at Boatwright University. Professor Ghote, the Chairman of the English Dept, notices Walton and says, "Walton, it occurs to me that I'd like a word with you." Next, in front of the 2 freshmen friends of Walton, Ghote wryly tells John-Boy, "Don't you think you've caused enough damage for your first day? Why don't you go home now?" Then John-Boy and his 2 freshmen friends all walk off, happily smiling. Professor Ghote didn't behave unprofessionally, and he did not embarrass, belittle, or bully John-Boy. At this point in the day, John-Boy has racked up a bit of "damage" with Ghote, personally. First, he parked in a faculty spot; second, he bumped into Ghote causing the Professor to drop and scatter his papers which had been alphabetized; third, he was asked to bring the billy goat to an office which belonged to Professor William Ghote. This is not a "character mistake" or any other type of mistake.

Super Grover

John-Boy had already apologized to Ghote about the parking incident and Ghote chastised both the Sophs and the Frosh for the goat prank. But with the bridge kerfuffle, Ghote is an adult professional who should have known the difference regarding the antagonism, and chose to react otherwise by embarrassing John-Boy instead of applying damage control with the Soph bullies, which was both unethical and undoing. Something even Ms. Hunter would shut down appropriately.

Bones (2005)

Correction: Remember, when Hodgins asks Dr Tanaka about the microsil, Tanaka replies, "I believe your partly Chinese woman will be able to reconstruct the tool," then Angela walks in saying she heard Tanaka's comment. Nakamura quickly clarifies that Tanaka (who is Japanese) "means no offense" and did not mean for it to "sound so insulting" (00:31:05). At the end, Angela decides to take matters into her own hands so to speak, regarding Tanaka's physical gender. So considering Tanaka's earlier rude comment about her, and even more so, as well as Angela just being our Angela, after Angela hugs Tanaka she walks back over to her team and in a normal voice as usual Angela bluntly says, "It moved, he's a guy" (00:40:40). Angela very simply did not care if Tanaka would overhear this. This is not a "stupidity" or any other kind of mistake, whatsoever.

Super Grover

I would add, Angela is very outspoken through the show and has shown numerous times that she will just say whatever needs to be said rather than hide away from a topic. And if we disregard everything mentioned above, about Tanaka being rude, How is it a mistake that Angela says it out loud?

Ssiscool

Yep, agree about Angela being outspoken, that's why I mentioned "as well as Angela just being our Angela" because yes, that's exactly her just being her :).

Super Grover

Tanaka wasn't rude, it was Angela who was rude and unprofessional about the former's identity. And absolutely makes it a mistake when it's a direct failure of professional protocol. One simply does not set out to embarrass a colleague by "proving" anything in a workplace, that could potentially set them up for harassment.

eaglegrad16

I'd stated that Angela (or the production) failed to use proper professional etiquette when she approached Tanaka to curiously clarify his/her gender, without any privacy of the room. So very much a mistake, considering even Bones would not have done such out of courtesy and respect to another professional. However, Angela did not care. So that was stupidity and or negligence on her part as a supposed forensics professional, in displaying such repugnant behavior. Very much a mistake.

Three's Company (1977)

The Matchbreakers - S6-E13

Other mistake: In the Regal Beagle, Jack addresses Marsha as Ms. White although later in the episode her last name is revealed to be Whitewood. In addition, how could Jack have known her last name anyway? Marsha only said her first name in front of Furley and the trio early in the episode and presumably she hasn't talked to the trio since she left with Furley out the door.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: In addition to the other correction (occurring 00:07:25), this correction addresses the second part of the mistake, as to how Jack knew Marsha's last name. Earlier, when Larry tells the trio that Furley was fine with him being late with the rent, Janet states, "He's been wining and dining her for 3 days" (at 00:06:15). So at any time during those 3 days (offscreen), Furley told the kids about his dream girl, which would have included her last name.

Super Grover

Suggested correction: No Jack does say, "Hello Ms. Whitewood!" While they are shaking hands. Time stamp in the episode when this occurs is at 7:25.

Replacements - S1-E4

Corrected entry: In one scene, the barn-like structure ‘petit restaurant' has the words 'hotel' on the left and 'cafe' on the right, but the building gets a grenade to the upper floor to clear the two snipers pinning down Easy Company. After the retreat, the Germans march past and the Hotel/Cafe is fully restored and the window is back in place.

Correction: We see 3 sides of the Petit building. One side of Petit has 4 dormer windows directly over the restaurant's outdoor dining area [00:32:20 and 00:36:48]. Two sides of Petit display words "Petit Restaurant, Hotel, Cafe, Schafrath" and it's one of these sides that faces the church (note its steeple). Easy Company retreat in the direction from where they came (Eindhoven). It cuts to German forces in Nuenen, and in this shot the church is behind the Petit building, with only the church steeple visible. The Petit's side that faces the church is the side with the huge bazooka hole. Here we see the church behind the Petit, and the Petit's 4 dormer windows, so this is in fact the opposite side of the Petit building - with its full display name and an additional sign "Schafrath" below, intact on this side [00:42:20].

Criminal Minds (2005)

Demons - S9-E24

Corrected entry: When Blake is telling Spencer to keep his eyes on her after being shot she calls him Ethan twice. (00:02:29)

Correction: This is very poignant and deliberate moments in the dialogue. Blake is feeling distraught since Reid pushed Blake out of the way and took the bullet instead of her. Blake calls Reid by her dead son's name, "Ethan," when she tries to keep him alert and shouts, "Ethan, Ethan!" Later in the episode, when Blake takes Reid back to his apartment, she explains that watching Reid when he was hurt touched a nerve. Reid then asks Blake, "Who's Ethan?" and Blake tells Reid all about her son "Ethan" who died when he was 9 years old. Blake then tells Reid that "Ethan" would have been a lot like him. Note, on the jet return flight, Blake texted Hotch her resignation from the BAU, and at the very end she leaves her badge with Reid.

Enough (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Slim and Mitch embrace after she finds out he is cheating, she is wearing a purple dress/robe, but for some weird reason after the fade out, they are still embracing and it has changed to a white tank top. (00:18:14)

Movielover1996

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: It's not for some weird reason. It follows the fade out with the title "more than enough" and it's meant to creatively signify the passage of time between the two embraces. The first embrace is after Mitch tells Slim that everything is going to be OK, even though he cheated on her, and she believes it. Then a notable amount of time has passed, both of them are dressed entirely differently, and with this turn of the second embrace Slim tells Mitch that she can smell Darcelle's perfume. So she's now aware of all his lies.

Super Grover

You are correct. Slim finds out about Darcelle. She smells the perfume on a different day - meaning that Mitch is still having affairs. She says "You're not going to talk your way out of it this time." So time has passed since she first caught Darcelle's page to Mitch.

Mama's Family (1983)

Show generally

Corrected entry: It is well known that Vint had two kids in the opening of Mama's Family, but later on, Vint and Naomi try to conceive and are having trouble. They all assume that it is Vint, but he already has two kids and this was never mentioned during the time they were trying.

Correction: Fertility can change over a person's lifetime. Just because Vint has had two kids in the past doesn't mean he can't have trouble fathering a new one now.

But when Naomi gets pregnant, Vint also says he's excited to finally be a father. But he already has two kids.

In the basement, when Naomi tells Vint (who has two older teenagers) that she's "already pregnant," Vint does not say that he's excited to finally be a father. Vint's actual reply is, "You mean I'm gonna be a daddy, again?" Note that Vint says, "again" after a beat.

Suggested correction: At the end it's not "suddenly beige." Mid-episode Mary Ellen mentions a family project to, "Design you a new-looking car" and Erin adds, "We can paint it." Soon John-Boy says, "I'd like to paint it a nice dignified shade of tan." In the penultimate scene John-Boy drives Hyder and Martha Rudge back home. Time passes offscreen.
