Continuity mistake: When the movie starts, the cosmonaut is standing up straight on the spaceship. A frame later he is laying horizontally plus he is suddenly attached to some sort of tube.

Revealing mistake: When the investigators open the kids' bedroom, some of the flying stuff becomes transparent or very light coloured due to the matte effect.

Continuity mistake: After Indy and Elsa exit the catacombs through a sewer and start to run away, a woman in pink turns her head to watch them leave and then turns around to see Kazim's men run after the couple. A frame later, from a new angle, the woman's head is turned 45° facing downwards.

Other mistake: In the catacombs, Indy flips over the casket with the skeleton and dives underneath together with Elsa. If you watch closely, the skeleton gets trapped inside the casket, however Indy and Elsa are alone inside the casket. If the skeleton had sunken, there wasn't enough time, nor did Elsa or Indy bump into it when they dove underneath.

Continuity mistake: After racing against Breet, Jake takes off his helmet and his hair is sweaty and messed. A frame later it's dry and perfectly brushed.

Factual error: The painting "Saturno devorando a su hijo" has been in the Museo del Prado (Madrid, Spain) since 1876. Plus, it can't be a sketch as the movie states, because the original painting was a mural work that was transferred to canvas after Goya's death.

Factual error: On the ecography that Jake shows to Gekko there's a note on the top left corner stating it's an 8 week baby. However, the baby seen on-screen is 4-5 months old.

Continuity mistake: Sallah rescues Dr. Jones from the tank and stops by the cliff. On the next wide angle he's nowhere around.

Continuity mistake: In front of the idol, Indy shows Satipo the trap on the floor. Satipo's head position is different in all 3 shots in barely 2 seconds: First he's looking downwards, then straight, then his head is turned sideways, and then back to straight. (00:08:20)

Continuity mistake: In the zeppelin, after Indy says "no ticket", everyone searches for their tickets and waves it at Indy. When the angle changes, a frame later, the people are searching for their tickets, no one is showing one.

Continuity mistake: Indy stops his sidecar at a crossroad, meters ahead of a house. When the angle changes he is now several meters behind.

Continuity mistake: During the crashes by the border control the road keeps swapping from sunny to shadowy back and forth in less than 3 seconds.

Continuity mistake: The Zippo lighter on the floor, thrown by Dr. Jones, keeps moving around between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Indy jumps on Kazim's boat, Elsa's boat is inches away from Kazim's, but a shot later she has managed to appear somewhere else with no boats around.

Continuity mistake: When Marcus watches the carbon copy of the shield, his ice-bag is on the table, but when the angle changes he has it next to his head and seconds later he puts it on the table. Also, the ashtray moves backwards between shots.

Continuity mistake: After Jake signs the contract, the real estate seller lifts up her glasses. A frame later they're back down by the tip of her nose.

Continuity mistake: On the tank, Indy is punched and the gun falls inside. His hat also falls off, but a shot later it's back on, perfectly tucked in.

Visible crew/equipment: By the cliff, Indy's hat comes rolling towards him. Watch closely and you'll see a long shadow a meter above the ground, parallel to that of the crew member throwing the hat.

Audio problem: When the temple floor cracks, Indy holds Elsa from falling into the void and she gives a very loud cry, but her mouth is closed.

Continuity mistake: After Dr. Jones fires at the jeep two soldiers fly towards the tank, but when the angle changes they're falling away from the tank.
