Continuity mistake: The front view of the desk shows a few neatly arranged and parallel piles of papers, but the view from the desk's chair shows the piles non-aligned and the highest pile (thick file folder) more askew than the others. None of the men are touching the papers. (00:07:30)
Deliberate mistake: Candy tells her radio listeners, "Our phone number is 201-5137." Assuming the radio station's reception extends beyond more than a small geographic area, an area code is needed for callers outside of the immediate area. On Ellie's cell phone, Mary's number shows up with an area code. (00:05:55 - 00:07:20)
Continuity mistake: Tree foliage is inconsistent, changing several times within the first minute (Fall-Winter-Summer-Fall-Summer). Tree foliage even varies with which side of the road is being shown, such as Winter leafless trees between houses on Liam's side but Summer green leaves on Breanna's passenger side of the car (followed by Winter leafless trees when they get to the bank's parking lot). The inconsistencies persist to the end, with Fall-Winter foliage in the aerial view but Summer at street level. (00:00:20 - 00:09:27)
Continuity mistake: The creamer (or sugar bowl?) is in front of the tea pot's spout, but rear views of Adye show the creamer behind the tea pot and more to his left. Factual error: Henk arrives in Moscow. The KGB gets a copy of his passport. In the next scene, a building can be seen, and a Trabant 601 drives through the shot (one light out). Trabant was East German made and widely exported on the Eastern Block but never to the Soviet Union. This car is definitely wrong there. (00:30:40)
Continuity mistake: Isaac uses his right hand to drink some water, and his hand immediately goes from holding the glass to his mouth to holding chopsticks next to his plate. (00:20:58)
Continuity mistake: The paramedic in the ambulance just started cutting off the patient's shirt (with some difficulty) and there was sound from the scissors snipping. After she glanced away for a second, during which time there was no sound of her continuing to snip the shirt, the slit in the shirt was about three times as long. (00:08:20)
Deliberate mistake: Ryan was cooking venison (deer meat) in a pan over hot coals. He speared a piece with his knife and held it up for his young son, Billy, to take, which Billy did with his fingers. But did not get burned or show any signs that the meat was hot. Billy was even able to take a bite of the meat. The meat could not have cooled off that fast, even outdoors in jacket-wearing weather. Continuity mistake: At the bank, the keyboard on the counter is much closer to Ian's left arm when he reaches the counter than when he approaches it. (00:46:40)

Continuity mistake: The wall clock is at approximately 10:27 and advances to about 10:43, then returns to 10:27. During Keith's 5-second countdown for Michelle to go back on air, the clock jumps from 10:27 to 10:43. (00:01:50 - 00:03:07)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the stampede, as the barriers fall, a woman can be seen falling with them. The camera cuts to an overhead view and she's no longer there as the crowd surges forward.
Other mistake: In the movie, the mission takes place on the Space Shuttle Discovery. In the scene with the shuttle on the crawler, coming out of the Vehicle Assembly Building, Atlantis is pictured instead of Discovery. (01:39:48)
Factual error: Max sees a dog he wants to adopt at the "Seattle Animal Shelter" and the shelter worker tells him, "Just bring her back in a week to get spayed." All dogs/cats in Seattle shelters (as well as virtually all across the U.S.) must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Continuity mistake: When Greg (Joel Courtney) is taking photos/videos and meets Charlie, rear views show strands of his bangs dangling down the side of his right cheek, but front views show his hair neatly combed back. (00:05:52 - 00:06:15)
Factual error: Fodor is woken by the nighttime cry of a fox, whilst staying on the Isle of Man. There are no foxes on the Isle of Man, and none were present in the time period of the film. (00:37:45)
Continuity mistake: Jake gets up and leaves his hot chocolate mug with the handle angled towards the left side of the screen. However, the handle turns at least 45° towards the front when there is a front view of Amber. The wide shot of Jake and Amber shows the mug's handle angled towards the left again. (00:20:55)
Other mistake: Three fingertips are shown dropping to the floor, but there are sounds of four fingertips being broken off. (00:03:33)
Continuity mistake: Alberto and Alan are walking along a flat road between rows of houses. Alan looks up the road to see where his father "disappears to" and the road ahead is composed of arches along an upgrade. Alan continues running, but not very far, and suddenly there are grades in front and back of him, but the road is flat in the distant (somewhat aerial) view. After Alan runs a little further, the road behind him is arched again. The topography changes too fast and frequently. (00:06:00 - 00:06:50)
Revealing mistake: The airplane windows on both sides of the aisle are solid white ovals, with no variations to indicate the airplane is moving in the sky. (00:40:30)
