Deliberate mistake: The view looking out the windshield showed the man on the bicycle had stopped when he was in front of the car's passenger side, but the outside view showed the man still coming to a stop and then tilting his bicycle. (00:07:12)
Factual error: Sassoon's Military Cross medal is shown ending up thrown in the Mersey and sinking. In his own words from "Memoirs of an Infantry Officer", published in 1930 - "I ripped the MC ribbon off my tunic and threw it into the mouth of the Mersey. Weighted with significance though this action was, it would have felt more conclusive had the ribbons been heavier. As it was, the poor little thing fell weakly on the water and floated away as though aware of its own futility."
Plot hole: Diabolik blinks in Morse code to his accomplice the location of one of his hidden stashes. He says it's in 'the third brick to the left' and the street name, but no address or other reference. She (who previously knew nothing about the location) finds it immediately. It's worth noting that the movie is a faithful adaptation of a couple issues of the comic, but this bit of subplot is a fresh addition and the original hiding spot in the 1963 issue was a plausible one (cave behind a specific waterfall).
Character mistake: Over the phone, Julie told her sister Sara, " I got them [parents] a bouquet", pronouncing the "T" in bouquet. Bouquet has French origin so the "T" is silent. Bouquet is properly pronounced like bow-kay (American English) or boo-kay (British English). (00:00:55)
Other mistake: Sharyn was hooked up to an IV catheter somewhere in her upper arm (underneath her gown's short sleeve). The IV's location is unusual because IV catheters are usually placed in an easily accessible location, such as the back of the hand or forearm. When Sharyn ran out of her room, she apparently ripped out the IV without injuring the injection site or causing any bleeding. After being returned to her room from her escape attempt, she no longer required IV therapy (wasn't hooked up). (00:06:30 - 00:07:34)
Continuity mistake: Helen's slipper is at about a 45° angle toward the right of the screen when Miss Willoughby finds it. When Detective Jimmy shines his flashlight on the slipper, it is facing the opposite direction. The second time Jimmy shines the flashlight, the slipper is at a steeper angle. (01:00:33)
Factual error: Dylan (Scott Eastwood) was in a jail cell yet had a bottle of prescription pills in his pocket. The pills would have been confiscated before he was put in the cell and administered to him on schedule by staff/nurse. (00:28:10)
Other mistake: The chances that no-one in the approaching truck - three men, including a man standing in the bed facing oncoming traffic - would notice that Danny had a front seat passenger are very low, if not zero. Even after Motley got into the second row seat of the truck, but did not get down right away, the men in the truck had turned around and were following Danny but still did not notice Motley. Revealing mistake: The "unnatural seam" (line) across Jimmy's forehead and beyond - as well as the overall appearance of his head - indicates that he is NOT "naturally bald"! His "fake" bald head was not put on nearly as well as those seen in numerous other movies. [The actor playing the character does not have much hair in real life, but he also doesn't have that artifical line across his forehead.]. (00:07:13)
Revealing mistake: When "Snowball" is sleeping on Lena's bed, it is obviously a "stuffed double" (stand-in). Snowball is usually partially hidden behind the dog (so breathing doesn't need to be shown/mimicked). The failure of Snowball to make even a slight movement is a giveaway (e.g, no ear movement when Lena starts talking), but even the stuffed lion, in itself, is not a very good replica - it simply looks fake. Audio problem: Obviously, the mouth movements won't match the English voice-overs, but when Yang Hao is singing "Happy Birthday" to his daughter Yuan Yuan, his mouth doesn't move at all. (00:05:50)
Continuity mistake: The glass of Charlotte's orange-coloured drink fluctuates between about three-fourths to two-thirds full, including suddenly changing when she merely starts to bend over to pick up a utensil. After Charlotte drinks some, reducing the level to two-thirds, it goes back up and down. Wider views tend to be at the three-fourths level. (00:21:35 - 00:23:02)
Other mistake: The first setting was 2031 in post-apocalyptic Germany after a worldwide pandemic (an ongoing threat). Alexander met Joshua on August 27th. August temperatures in Germany are in the 70s-80s with a high probability of rain (which was absent). Both wore scarves and coats. The scarves were not being used to cover their noses/mouths to protect themselves from each other or whatever may have been in the air/atmosphere, so there wasn't a rational reason for them to be wearing either scarfs or coats. Continuity mistake: The dead rabbit was thrown onto its left side with its back almost parallel to the table's edge (width) and its nose/head almost in the corner. There was a bowl of several brown eggs several inches away from the rabbit's stomach. When the camera shifts, the rabbit's head has shifted at an angle away from the corner, its rear feet are slightly hanging over the table's edge (length), the bowl of eggs is touching the rabbit's stomach, and the eggs are piled on the opposite side of the bowl. Factual error: When pit bull Shadow was chasing Phoenix, the distances between them varied - even appearing to increase - but the pit bull should have been able to quickly close the gap and catch Phoenix. In general, an adult person (about 7 mph) cannot outrun a pit bull (25-30 mph). Also, unless Shadow was trained to stop pursuing Phoenix if she got over the fence, pit bulls are actually quite good at climbing fences. (00:02:38)
Continuity mistake: David's [Ralph Fiennes] glass on the table is filled to within about 1" from the top. When he raises the glass to his mouth, the amount is about 1" lower, which may explain why the lemon slice is now floating diagonally instead of vertically. (00:01:36)
Other mistake: "Boogie" was a HS student who didn't work and lived with his financially strained (heavily in debt) parents. The Chin family was receiving past-due notices for various bills. The IRS also sent a letter of intent to levy or seize their property if they did not immediately pay $4,513.29. But Boogie had money to buy marijuana, go out to dinner with his girlfriend, go to a gym, and visit a fortune teller - each multiple times. His mother also ate out and saw a fortune teller. Factual error: Steve Trevor tells Aquaman that he is a Colonel in the US Army. But he is wearing First Lieutenant bars on his uniform.
Continuity mistake: Annie's car's steering wheel is on the left side, but her dashcam showed her on the right side. Both hands appeared to be on/near the steering wheel (not adjusting the dashcam), followed by a brief view of her right hand playing on a keyboard, then returning to Annie who was now on the left side with her left hand on the steering wheel and a cigarette in her right hand. Also, when Annie was on the right side driving, there was no overhead light on above her head, but there was after she moved. (00:15:32 - 00:16:02)
Continuity mistake: After talking with Bullock on the roof, Batman is in his vehicle and talking to Hugo. On the screen, Hugo lifts up a glass to his mouth to take a drink, but when the camera cuts to a close up of the screen, suddenly his arm is lower, and he is once again lifting the glass to his face.
