Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the waitress notices that Emilio for the first time in years has not completed his Sudoku yet. The sequence begins with her stopping by him and waving her hand, upturned, but the hand is then on his shoulder. She repeats the gesture at the cut. (00:01:50)
Continuity mistake: When Tree wakes up from committing suicide with the drain cleaner, she starts pouring a water bottle into her mouth. In the wide shot, her mouth is wide open, her tongue is all the way in her mouth, and there's a steady stream of water pouring off her chin. But then it punches into a closeup, and her mouth is instantly halfway closed, her tongue is pushed forward, and the stream of water has suddenly slowed to a drip. Obviously a few seconds was cut for pacing, but still a mistake.
Plot hole: The movie takes place over a period of a couple of months (from full-grown pears to harvest time). Grandpa may be in arrears with the bank when he dies, but the bank cannot repossess and sell the orchard/farm within such a short period of time. The property has to go through probate, which can take several months, if not 1-2+ years. Determining the validity of the will and issues related to minor Andy inheriting the estate takes much more time to settle.
Character mistake: Reina asked Cory if they could "do that thing" because it was helpful for her medical school training. Reina then put a raw slab of steak/meat across his forehead and made slits in the meat as well as jabbed at it. A medical student studying to become a brain surgeon should know about and practice the safe handling of raw meat. (00:23:10)
Continuity mistake: After the cartoon segment, Deni entertains some playful banter with his girlfriend and takes off, putting a shirt on while he runs. Continuity mistake: The location and intensity of Lavinia's purple hair highlights vary throughout the movie. For example, the purple highlights on the right side were far more pronounced (two wide, distinct, vivid lines) when she got home compared to when she first met Ward. Lavinia rode her horse Comet home, so her hair would have been wind-blown and the highlights would not have been likely to be neatly straight down, especially since she has long curly hair. Other mistake: When the characters go to the Himalayas, the whole time, like for 20 mins, including the confrontation scene, they are all wearing casual, short-sleeved shirts. You can see Mr. Burnish's henchmen wearing winter clothing, while the main characters don't freeze to death. They only start getting cold after a long time.
Continuity mistake: Zeke is in the kitchen with his daughter. He is checking out Dick's driving license; in the close-up he is holding it with his left hand, but in the following shot, as she asks him "Where'd you find it?" he is holding it in his right hand. (00:10:15)

Factual error: Mohegan Sun casino is in the state of Connecticut. Connecticut does not have legalized sports betting and did not have it in 2012, when the film is set, therefore Julia would not have been able to place Howard's bet.
Continuity mistake: At the concert before Murata starts performing, a woman is holding a baby. The baby is shown holding a packet in its arm, with the arm resting. It then cuts to a different angle, where the baby's arm is suddenly raised slightly. (00:49:45)

Other mistake: The flight attendant pulled out a wheeled serving cart as she was talking to the other flight attendant. While shown from the chest up, it was obvious the flight attendant was moving her arms for a little while and it sounded like she was placing a few glasses on the cart then stopped, but the top of the cart was filled with glasses when the cart came back into view.
