Spider-Man

Trivia: The final five episodes of this series are somewhat of a precursor to both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The Secret Wars episodes featured a large crossover with characters from other established Marvel TV shows from the same time period, including X-Men, Iron Man, and Fantastic 4. The two-part series finale featured Spider-Man teaming up with several Spider-Men from different realities in order to stop a catastrophe that could affect all realities.

Spider Wars, Chapter 1: I Really, Really Hate Clones - S5-E12

Trivia: After the Scarlet Spider tells Spider-Man the convoluted details of his reality and how he isn't sure whether he is a clone of the Spider-Man of his own reality or vice versa, Spider-Man responds by saying it all sounds like a bad comic book plot. This is a reference to the Spider-Man comics that featured a similar plotline and was much derided by fans.

Neogenic Nightmare Chapter 9: Blade the Vampire Hunter - S2-E11

Trivia: This episode was somewhat of a blueprint for the film "Blade." In the original comics, Blade was a regular human being that was immune to vampire bites. In this episode, he is a half-vampire with all of their strengths and none of their weaknesses, except for the thirst, which he keeps at bay with a serum. These traits carried over into the film. The character of Abraham Whistler also did not originally have a comic book counterpart, he originated in this episode.

Trivia: Around the same time this show was airing, James Cameron was in the midst of developing a Spider-Man film which would have featured Sandman and Electro as the villains. Due to this plan, Sandman never appeared on this show despite being a prominent member of Spidey's rogue's gallery. Electro eventually made an appearance in the show's final season once it was determined that Cameron's film would never come to fruition, though the Electro that appeared on this show was a bastardized version of his comics counterpart.

The Alien Costume: Part 1 - S1-E8

Sins of the Fathers Chapter 6: Framed - S3-E6

Plot hole: After Peter Parker is framed and arrested for selling government secrets to foreign organizations, he escapes police custody and goes home to retrieve his Spider-Man costume that was simply hanging in his dark room. If he was arrested for selling government secrets then surely the police would have searched his home and found his costume (as well as equipment) in the process. Since the police car was visible in front of his house, it seems very strange that police didn't search his home.

Chosen answer: Felicia and Peter's friendship in this series was depicted as being on-again-off-again. At this point in the series they may have been on good terms. Plus Felicia is a wealthy socialite and Peter and Mary Jane's wedding was a big event due to Wilson Fisk paying for all of it.
