Continuity mistake: At the beginning, when Jill says "A lot of my work friends are going to be there," we can see the cabinet that Tim is putting groceries in, is open. When the camera shot changes, the cabinet is now closed and Tim opens it.
Visible crew/equipment: When Tim is using the metal detector looking for the gift, when Wilson says 'using the metal detector in winter, ' you can see a boom mic quickly drop into view to the left of him.
Revealing mistake: At the very ending of the episode, when Tim runs through the back wooden fence, just before he hits the fence, you can see the loose board fall from top to the bottom and towards him before he even hits the fence.

Visible crew/equipment: When Tim is singing the blues with Wilson who is playing the harmonica, as they finish the scene, you can see the shadow of the camera rising above the fence as the shot goes up.
To Build Or Not To Build - S2-E23
Other mistake: When Randy and Brad complete the magic trick and open up the trunk they are pointing it towards the audience for us to see. But Jill reacts as if she is seeing it too, which, based on where she is sitting and where the trunk is open would be impossible. She would have had to get up and go look or have the trunk turned 90° to make it work. Neither happens.
Revealing mistake: At the end when Tim and Marty are outside Marty drops the ladder supposedly on Tim's foot, but it never lands close enough to his foot for Tim to get hurt.
Plot hole: Tim has the mike in his hand and steps repeatedly forwards to talk to Jill, the cord being long enough to allow him to do so. However once Jill leaves and he wants to go after her the mike knocks over the jar of mosquitoes. Up until then, there was no indication that the mike had been changed or moved but he never at the risk of knocking over the jar until then.
Answer: In seasons 1 and 2, each Binford tool had a unique model number, but from season 3 onward, they were all numbered 6100 as a running gag.
