Four Great Women and a Manicure - S20-E20

Trivia: During the couch gag, the Simpsons run through different places (as spoofs of different TV shows). One of the places they run through is the bar from Cheers. When they all sit down, Sideshow Bob walks through the door. Kelsey Grammer does the voice of Sideshow Bob, and starred as Doctor Frasier Crane in Cheers.
The Old Man and the Key - S13-E13
Trivia: When Grampa, Crazy Old Man and Jasper are about to race Snake, and his girlfriend is there, the girlfriend is Gloria from "Hunka Hunka Burns in Love."
Trivia: In this episode the Simpsons are labeled finally as a "northern Kentucky family"; this was quickly enough dismissed as a red herring for various reasons. To further mystify, however, if you turn on the English subtitles on the episode, they say "southern Missouri family".
Lisa's Rival - S6-E2
Trivia: While Homer is guarding his sugar and sleeping outside, Marge nudges him to wake him up and he says in his sleep, "In this country, first you get the sugar, then you get the money, and then you get the woman." This is almost a direct quote from Al Pacino's movie Scarface in which he tells his best friend, "In this country, first you get the money, then you get the power and then you get the woman." Homer even says it in a similar accent.
Trivia: Despite playing father and son, the actors who voice them are actually almost exactly the same age. Nancy Cartwright (who voices Bart) is actually 4 days older than Dan Castellaneta (who voices Homer).
Itchy and Scratchy and Marge - S2-E9
Trivia: One of this episode's plots features outraged parents trying to prevent children from seeing the statue of Michelangelo's David because his penis is visible. In March 2023, a principal at a Tallahassee, Florida charter school was fired after parents complained about their children seeing images of the statue, deeming it to be pornographic.
The Old Blue Mayor She Ain't What She Used To Be - S29-E6
Trivia: When a man falls into the Springfield Cactus Plant after sliding down a wire to escape the panicked crowd, he yells a Wilhelm scream.
Trivia: In this episode, Wolfcastle says "Real acid?" and starts to have doubts about filming the scene. In The Terminator, Arnie (who Wolfcastle is a parody of) said the exact same thing when he learned that the crew were going to pour acid on his clothing for a smoke effect.
Covercraft - S26-E8
Trivia: On the wall in Apu's changing room is a picture of the Be Sharps, the barbershop quartet consisting of Homer, Apu, Seymour Skinner and Chief Wiggum that was featured in the Season 5 episode Homer's Barbershop Quartet.
Day of the Jackanapes - S12-E13
Trivia: The episode title is a reference to The Day of the Jackal, but the plot more closely resembles The Manchurian Candidate.
Trivia: The property next to the Simpson house is very versatile. It has been Flanders house (both sides), a cemetery, the parking lot to the nuclear plant and a vacant lot.
Cape Feare - S5-E2
Trivia: The gag of Sideshow Bob stepping on the rakes was only supposed to be him stepping on a single rake one time. But the episode's running time was short, so the sequence was extended as a time filler.
Trivia: Adding to the list of jokes on this show that ended up becoming true in real life, this episode made reference to a Donald Trump presidency a full 15 years before Trump first announced his candidacy for President. The episode also accurately predicted that a Trump presidency would lead to an economic recession.
