The Mandalorian (2019)

Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7

Stupidity: We are thrilled to see Bill Burr's face, and he does some impressive acting in this episode, however Mando and him are going inside a base without any intel or cover, trying to be low-profile and avoid risk, but he chose to ditch his helmet for a petty reason (makes driving - in a straight line - harder) and he does not pick it back up even if he easily could, when the drive is over. And of course, nobody in the base realises that they have never seen that guy before, and the original drivers must had no comrades/friends who were awaiting their return ,nor officer to report to.

Suggested correction: All highly speculative. Both of them take their helmets off and nobody knows who they are. Not unlikely since there is no reason given why they should be known to the people at the base. Unless you can give a good reason why they should, this is not a stupidity.

lionhead

Can you give me a good reason why nobody should be waiting for the drivers' arrival or know what they look like? Which is what I said in the entry; not that people do not know who Bill Burr is (which is incidentally also what happens since he knows the officer, and he does know of the base at least), but that nobody knows they are not the people driving the trucks. He's totally unconcerned.

Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8

Other mistake: The inexplicably omniscient Moff Gideon mentions that Mando fired his wrist launcher's "one and only salvo." This would confirm what could be assumed by the dialogue with the Armorer in episode 1.3: the Whistling Birds are rare, and made of Beskar. Mando uses them in 1.3 immediately, then he still has them in 1.6 to use them against Burg. He replenishes his ammo in the season finale so we can assume that includes the birds. In season 2 he uses them in 2.1 in the prologue and then in 2.6. Seems abnormal to say the least that he'd have still some to use in 2.8 with no more refills.

Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: When the two blue Mandalorians surprise-attack the stormtroopers that are behind Cara and Fennec, the troopers fall down like bowling pins; the ones in the front are falling off the bridge and the ones behind them fall prone against the edges of the bridge. Except in the following shot it is not the case, nobody seemingly fell off the bridge and the first people we see are belly up, not down. (00:15:05)

Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: Fennec kills the stormtrooper that Cara was about to bludgeon with her jammed gun; her braid is behind her when the camera is behind her, in front of her shoulder when the camera is in front of her. (00:17:15)

Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8

Other mistake: Shoulder to shoulder, Cara Dune and Fennec Shand advance shooting Stormtroopers on a bridge. But look where Ming-Na Wen is aiming; she's never gonna hit anything in front of her, and if there's any threat all the way to the left where she is pointing her blaster, it is never shown. Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8

Plot hole: In the previous episode, Mando and the others got a hold of the coordinates of Moff Gideon's cruiser, but this episode begins with them capturing Dr. Pershing in a shuttle, and after that they locate Bo-Katan and Koska and get them on board for the mission. How they found these people is unknown, and cruisers are not planets, they tend not to be stationary. Hard to imagine Mando and the others get into weird and complex subquests to get some help while Gideon at one point, which could be in just moments, could hyperspace in some other sector and leave them with no clue where to find him.

Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7

Other mistake: The final art of the credits shows Mayfeld jumping on the Slave-1 with Mando helping him. Mando is in his full Mandalorian armor though, which would have been impossible at that point of the story. (00:34:55)

Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7

Other mistake: The two heroes run away from the cafeteria through the side of the building. The snipers are luckily positioned with a perfect view on their fortuitous escape route and start killing people. When Mayfeld reaches the top, we see one stormtrooper getting hit by the sniper - but the laser beam comes practically from behind him, at an angle that appears not compatible with Fennec's position. Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: Escaping from the mess hall windows, Mando shoots a trooper with a sand-colored uniform who was trying to hit him from a lying position. Next shot and Mando is standing, not crouching as he was to finish that enemy. (00:28:40)

Continuity mistake: When Cara shoots down her first trooper ("Got 'em"), you can notice in her scope that the guy falls from the window adjacent to the one Bill Burr is in, but in the overhead shot Burr is still just barely coming out of it. (00:28:35)

Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7

Stupidity: The Empire has plenty troops and TIE Fighters, and the locals are armed with sticks, but the convoys of highly volatile explosives have no armed escort whatsoever, despite the fact that they keep losing those huge trucks full of precious chemicals to those troglodytes with no body armor or special skills.

Suggested correction: The empire doesn't have plenty of anything, this is after the fall of the empire, this is what is left and they are hanging by a thread. It probably costs too much to have escorts, or escorts like TIE fighters are too expensive to risk, even against "troglodytes." They'd rather accept the losses they take, apparently that is more cost efficient.

lionhead

Plenty more than what the opponents have, in that very base. They have TIE fighters in the base, who provide air support at the very end. They have troops. The opponents show having no offensive weapon at all other than detonators, that they fling like stones. Losing transport convoys because you provide literally zero escort to them is no strategy in times of abundance, even less in times of scarcity. And that chemical is a strategic resource that helps their war, and the only reason the base exists.

Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: After shooting the officer with the odd southern accent, Mando and Mayfeld start shooting at the random innocent people. Mayfeld shoots two officers at a table, and you can tell that the second one was already up in the first shot, but in the second he gets blasted when he's still leaning on the table with his elbow. Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: Mando is facing the second wave of 'pirates'; he throws his malfunctioning blaster at one of them and then moves on to face him. You can see the alien just went past the second disk of junction between the cargo, but in the wider angle they are fighting with being already almost past the third. (00:15:25)

Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7

Other mistake: When Juggernauts 3 and 4 are destroyed, the screams of the drivers and the explosions are practically instantaneous, it takes 5 seconds tops. When Mando and Mayfeld's truck is assaulted, the marauders take a much longer time to deal their damage. (00:13:00)

Other mistake: The first guy that tries to put a detonator on the rhydonium opens its container freely; the Empire is transporting its precious deadly explosive in unlocked containers! But later on Mando is struggling and the baddies have to use their pointed sticks to open the containers.

Chapter 15: The Believer - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: Mayfeld is called by the droid as he's working on the TIE carcass. He says "What!" and turns around; the hand on the drill he's using is in a different position between shots. He then holds the drill down his right side as the droid tells him to descend, and in the new shot he's still holding it up. (00:02:05)

Chapter 14: The Tragedy - S2-E6

Revealing mistake: Once Fennec obliterates like bowling pins with a rock the ones she couldn't simply shoot, Boba Fett has another badass moment murdering the stormtrooper with the orange pauldron. Problem is, he's in the open and there's another stormtrooper directly behind him that couldn't possibly have missed Boba when he was busy poking comically the back of the officer but comes to life only when the camera is on him.
