Revealing mistake: In the final car chase, the military police radios for reinforcement; in the exterior shot that follows the one inside the limo with Rick on his back, foot on the cockpit, you can see quite distinctly the two stuntmen meant to be Magnum and Rick, and totally not looking like them. Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Continuity mistake: The plane at the beginning of the episode stops with the propeller at 7:05. When Louise DeBolt walks past the propeller to get in the cockpit, the propeller is at 11:25, and goes back to 7:05 next time it's shown. (00:02:10 - 00:03:10)

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Continuity mistake: The opening of the show starts with Magnum driving off with the iconic Ferrari; however it has a license plate number, 56E-478, which is not the one seen in 99% of the show. It comes from the pilot episode, where the vanity plate ROBIN-1 had yet to be introduced.

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Continuity mistake: During the paperboy run, TC stops the van and asks Benny a question. Benny was holding the paper vertically, but his arm is down in the next shot, and up again next, and so on. (00:32:40)

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Continuity mistake: Magnum comes back to the beach after some surf ski, where the prince struck a 'deal' with Ed Russler. Magnum's shirt is wet in two completely, and that's not a understatement, COMPLETELY different ways before and after John Saxon approaches. (00:28:30)

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Stupidity: The secret service's purpose is to protect the prince of the nation. There's a roadblock (a watermelon truck across the lane). They could and should turn the car around and/or avoid the obstacle, but what they do is instead stop the limousine and walk out, right into enemy fire, leaving open the doors. Stellar work. Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Character mistake: The coach of the Jororo team makes a joke about being cut by the king "Like Robespierre did to Louis XV in '89." That would have been Louis XVI (and not in "89" but (17) 93, although the year of the French Revolution is correct). (00:25:10)

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Continuity mistake: Rick tells (and shows!) Magnum that he's writing "a recipe for Veal Marsala for my mother back in Chicago." But the key plot element of 4-4 "Distant Relative" was that Rick raised his sister by himself, because Chicago was "a tough town to grow up in without any parents."

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Revealing mistake: The prince and TC's protege have a fight when the spoiled kid is eliminated. They are supposed to be angry and serious, and the teammates too have worried faces, but in the shot when TC tells him that he's out of the game, against any logic the young actors are caught laughing. Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Continuity mistake: Magnum gets back to his pad and of course the kid everyone's looking for just crashed there. In the first shot, overhead, you can see that Magnum's coffee table features several magazines, and in the corner, at the same level, a bowl. Magnum fetches a can of beer and sits by Danny, but the magazines now are in a different line, with the bowl above them. (00:13:20 - 00:13:50)

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Continuity mistake: Magnum met the Prince 5 seconds earlier and already he has enough of him and says bye, about to drive off. Danny says "Hey", and at the cut the glove rolled from under the right to the left hand. (00:08:20)

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Continuity mistake: Rick gets the odds from Magnum and then puts the car in reverse. His left hand is on the left part of the wheel, right hand at the cut. (00:07:25)

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Continuity mistake: Serious matters of Little League espionage are discussed as TC accuses Magnum. When he says "They beat Taiwan" he has not a hand on the cooler full of Gatorade with badly camouflaged labels, but he does then, right at the cut. (00:05:40)

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Revealing mistake: When Danny runs away from the baseball field, the camera pans towards the left and stops while several people in the fictional Jororo army uniform storm the area on foot and jeep. But to the far left in the distance, you can spot a legit Hawaiian cop at the roadblock used to film freely in the street. (00:02:35)

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Revealing mistake: Danny runs away from the game, and is chased by army people on a jeep. The two cars (the jeep and another one parked there) have fictional license plates, supposedly from Jororo, since the opening caption specified "The Jororo Islands." However when the secret service guy and the coach have caught up with him, two cars in the supposed back alley of a normal Jororo suburb have Hawaii license plates - where the series was filmed. SD Gundam G Generation: Cross Rays
Other mistake: In the profile of the Gundam Nadleeh unit it is written "It's most unique feature is known as the Trial System." Its, not it's.

Magnum, P.I. (1980)
Revealing mistake: The prince runs away from the game and into the market, where army people on jeeps chase him. They crash goods, topple carts and all sort of destruction, but the extras in the market are actually having a great time and most of them just laugh while people with automatic weapons shove them aside and spill on the ground their stuff. Bug: The Festival Idol version of Athena Asamiya in the Advent Dungeon acts weird when hit through her Super moves; she keeps throwing combos for the whole duration of the Super even if you successfully Stun her (and the Stun animation is playing), and when you KO her she just shows up lying on the ground instantly without falling.
