Factual error: The rifle which Dennis Dugan's character is using has to be reloaded before every shot. Still, when he shoots Slim Pickens, he somehow manages to hit him with two bullets within a second.

Cross of Iron (1977)
Plot hole: "The regiment headquarters calling for Corporal Steiner. Come in Steiner." The film starts with this repeating radio message. It's even heard by Steiner and his men who are on their hush-hush job behind the enemy lines: a reconnaissance mission. Calling Steiner just makes no sense, especially with the name.

Jaws (1975)
Continuity mistake: In the famously later on added scene Ben Gardner's suddenly emerging head scares the hell out of Hooper the diver (as well as any viewer). What diminishes the effect is that the second close-up of the head looks nothing like the first, much creepier one.

The Contender (2000)
Trivia: Judging by his looks, one would think Gary Oldman is paying homage to that Sean Penn's also somewhat 'offbeat' lawyer-characterization in "Carlito's Way".

Wolf (1994)
Continuity mistake: Jack the "half-wolf" attacks a deer in the woods and bites its neck. But when he raises his head there's not one drop of blood anywhere (in his teeth, mouth etc). (00:49:40)

Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
Other mistake: It's settled that Lawrence takes 50 of Prince Faisal's men with him to fight the Turks in Akaba (as long as they get there through the burning desert). But to my calculations there's only 32 men riding with him, plus those young servant wannabe's who (without permission) follow the party.

Panic (2000)
Factual error: Alex's 6-year-old kid must be a very powerful little boy: when he grabs that model aeroplane glue tube it bursts in the air like water.

Little Big Man (1970)
Factual error: The worst historical distortions in this film must concern legendary "Wild Bill" Hickock. First of all he wasn't killed by a teenage boy, but one John McCall, a man in his 30's. McCall sneaked behind Hickock who was in the middle of a poker game and shot him through the head killing him instantly. Secondly this took place on August 2 1876, about five weeks AFTER the Custer's Last Stand. (01:46:30)

Witchfinder General (1968)
Trivia: When Vincent Price, "The King of Hams", once got into an argument with the very promising 25-year-old British director Michael Reeves during this film's shooting, he said: "I've made eighty-seven movies." Reeves responded: "I've made three good ones."

Strangers on a Train (1951)
Trivia: When mom exposes her pretty scary painting to Bruno it very much resembles the key scene in the film "The Picture of Dorian Gray" from 1945.

The Parallax View (1974)
Trivia: The man who plays that young deputy who bullies Warren Beatty in a bar (they also get into a rough car-chase later in the film) is Earl Hindman, whose most famous role came with the popular (here in Finland also) 1990's series "Home Improvement". He was that "faceless" neighbour of Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor's.
