Continuity mistake: The stacks of money the dean takes out, before getting up, changes in the next shot. One stack is completely on the black edge, then is only partly against it and closer to the other stacks. And the stack on the other end is bigger.
Continuity mistake: When Rick and Britta are talking to Todd, they're holding hands. In one shot, Rick has his hands clasped together and in the next shot, back to holding Britta's hands.
Trivia: When Chang is being chased by Professor Hickey, he screams out his same-sex celebrity crush is Nathan Fillion. Nathan Fillion would end up appearing in the next episode as Bob Waite.
Trivia: Pierce's boat that he gives Troy to sail the world in is called the "Childish Tycoon." Donald Glover, who plays Troy, uses the stage name "Childish Gambino" in his music career.
Continuity mistake: The stars Britta puts on change during various shots. She wouldn't have had time to readjust them when off camera either, and at the end when she tried to remove them, they're stuck on pretty good.
Trivia: In this episode, a parody of "Law and Order", the botanist who exams the yam, a parody of a medical examiner, is played by Leslie Hendrix. Hendrix played Dr. Elizabeth Rodgers, the medical examiner in several of the Law and Order series.
Continuity mistake: When Annie starts to throw her tantrum, she knocks stuff off the table, including the microphone and small mic stand. When she's lying on the table, the mic stand is back on the table. It back on the floor when she and Jeff leave, although the Uruguay sign is now back on the table.
Trivia: This episode aired Sept 22, 2011 where Abed learns season 3 of the (real life) TV show "Cougar Town" is moving to mid-season, which he fears means an upcoming cancellation. Abed and Troy say "6 seasons and a movie" in regards to the show (a line previously used in reference to "The Cape", another favourite show of his). While no movie was made, "Cougar Town" did move to mid-season in 2012 and lasted for 6 seasons.
Continuity mistake: When Britta is in a cage, before Chang walks in, a couple pass her and are walking out the double doors, where both doors are open. After Chang steps up to the cage and the camera shot changes, the couple is further away from the doors and walking out again, only this time one of the doors is closed.
Trivia: When Abed is in his "Terminator" mode, the display shows references to later episodes (and at the time unaired). On the left is "Projected Cycles." In s02e08 we learn Abed inadvertently began tracking the girls' menstrual cycle. Under "Memos" there's "Record Cougartown. Troy's Birthday 14 days. Get Rudolph for Xmas. Confirm Mom for Xmas. Build blanket fort." Later we learn Abed loves the show, and in s02e19 he tells Jeff he was an extra on the show Cougartown (Abed/Danny Pudi does actually appear as an extra in the show). In s02e10, the group celebrates Troy's birthday (while still respecting his Jehovah's Witnesses believes). In s02e11, we learn Abed's Mom comes to visit every December 9th and they watch Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. In s02e09, Abed and Troy build a blanket fort. Additionally, s03e14 is the episode with multiple massive blanket and pillow forts.
Visible crew/equipment: When Pierce's drone is following Jeff and Troy, as the two go through the bushes, you can see the string the drone is attached to as it "hovers."
Continuity mistake: The amount of the black oil stuff that covers Annie when it spills on her increases in the next shot of her, before she and Britta start fighting.
Continuity mistake: When Professor Duncan comes into the classroom, he circles and underlines "anthropology." When Chang walks in, the circle and underline change drastically. It goes back to the original way in various shots.
Character mistake: At the party, Jeff is talking to Ted about his parents' divorce, which included a custody hearing. Jeff mentions the divorce lawyer drove a Mercedes SLK. However, the SLK didn't come out until 1996, which would make Jeff at least 21 (turning 22) at the time of the divorce (he was born Nov 1974). There would have been no need for a custody hearing (Jeff was an only child between his mom and dad) and his parents divorced when he was very young, so the divorce had to happen prior to 1996.
Trivia: Near the end Pierce suggests turning #OldWhiteManSays, which has 600,000 twitter followers, into a TV show. He says "how about Old White Man Says..." (where he non-verbally implies a curse word) and everyone replies, no one would watch it. This episode aired the same day as the TV show "S#*! My Dad Says", which is based on a real twitter account posting crazy things someone's old, white dad says. "S#*! My Dad Says" was cancelled after only 18 episodes while "Community" ended up airing 84 more episodes.
Continuity mistake: When the 7 go outside, Troy is talking to Shirley, he takes his toothpick out to say he's not an ambassador, but in the next shot the toothpick is back in his mouth.
Continuity mistake: At the end when Abed is talking to the Dean, there's an open to-go box with chicken fingers. After the Dean asks who would steal a box of hairnets, it cuts back to Abed and the box and ketchup are gone. Post-it notes are also now seen and the stapler moved. In the next shot of Abed, the chicken is back.
Continuity mistake: When Jeff and Abed are talking in his room, the amount of the root beer float in Abed's glass changes. Especially noticeable is when Jeff leaves, the float goes from near the top and above his fingers to a couple fingers below.
