Plot hole: Del and Rodney find the nuclear shelter and decided to try it out. They then do a couple of runs to find the best place to build it. We then see the pair inside the nuclear shelter which they have built, filled with stuff like a bed, food batteries etc. all in one afternoon. (00:11:45)
Suggested correction: No reference is made to what day it is. There is nothing to suggest that the practice run and the scene inside the bunker happen on the same day.
Apart from all of them wearing the exact same outfits, Del mentioning that it needs to be back on the building site by Monday when having a weekend to try it out. All points to it taking place over the course of a day from the start of the episode to the end.
When Del refers to "it" being back on the building site by Monday morning, he is actually referring to the chemical toilet that he's acquired. He is not referring to the shelter as this was under a pile of bricks on a demolition site not a building site. Del has already assumed ownership of the shelter due to finding it under the pile of bricks he has purchased.

Plot hole: The whole point of Darry going down the pipe near the beginning was because he couldn't see the bottom of the pipe. However, Trish can make out his shock when he notices the body. Darry's flashlight is not providing the light in this scene as the light is coming from the tunnel. (00:21:05)

Plot hole: Det. Kerry says at the scene of Paul's trap, "He had two hours." There is no way she could have known that. The clock simply said 3:00 and the tape specifically says "you have until 3 o'clock or this room will become your tomb". No way to know that's two hours after the fact. (00:17:30)
Suggested correction: In the flashback of the razor wire trap, it shows the clock as a few minutes past 1, so he did know he had 2 hours.

Plot hole: Before Amelia Earhart flies herself and Larry back to NYC from Washington D.C. Larry says that there is an hour of darkness left. The time needed to fly from Washington D.C. To NYC and back is well over an hour, so it's not possible to make it in the time given and Amelia would have turned to dust.

Plot hole: When Burnett is hiding in the mass grave, the people on the ship are watching a thermal image of him. When he falls, his arm is at an angle and stays at that angle. To move under the bodies in the grave he would had to have moved his arm. But it stays at the same angle throughout, so how could he move under the bodies, without his thermal image moving? Plot hole: When they are trying to find a way to stop the lava from going in to the museum, Tommy Lee Jones has an idea to push a bus up against the museum to divert the lava. The plan works but the lava does not melt the bus like it melted Tommy Lee Jones' car or the fire truck. Even though the bus melts later in the movie, it doesn't melt it instantly like it did with the fire truck.

Plot hole: People are always told to not use their mobiles while in the hospital. However, the staff constantly use theirs.

Plot hole: Janey is on the phone trying to win concert tickets and says, "She has to be caller number 5, rules of the contest are very strict." Susan then says something else and Janey says on the phone, "Dee I have to go, mum's going mad again." She evidently isn't on the phone to win tickets.
