Continuity mistake: At Kings Cross, just as Percy Weasley is about to run through the wall onto platform 9 3/4, we see a man and a woman walking past him, but when the shot changes direction, they have both disappeared. (00:31:15)

Continuity mistake: The way in which Mr. Ollivander holds out the second wand for Harry to try differs, in the shot facing Mr. Ollivander and the next shot facing Harry. (00:26:25)

Continuity mistake: When Hagrid and Harry step out the back door of the Leaky Cauldron, in the overhead shot there are many glass bottles on the floor, between the barrels. However, after Hagrid says, "Welcome Harry, to Diagon Alley," as they walk out the barrels are visible behind Hagrid and there are no glass bottles between the barrels. The stone ground differs in both shots too. (00:20:05)

Continuity mistake: In the sea hut scene, when Dudley steals the cake, there's a shot of him eating it and his pyjama shirt is pulled up, then it cuts to Hagrid, and he says 'He'll be under the finest headmaster...' and it cuts back to Dudley, but his pyjama shirt is back down over his pyjama pants. Continuity mistake: When we first see Harry drawing a cake in the dirt, his hand is in the shadow created by the sofa when lightning strikes. When we see a closeup of the drawing, his hand is in the light. (00:12:50)

Continuity mistake: When Dudley falls into the water in the Python's exhibit, his clothes are completely soaked. Yet when Dudley yells and bangs on the glass, in the shot facing Petunia as she screams, it is quite apparent that Dudley's sweater/jumper is not entirely wet. The wet hair at the back of his head lies flat in the second shot as well. (00:07:15)

Two examples being, the morning of Dudley's birthday, when Harry opens his eyes in the close-up, while lying in the cupboard; and later, when his hair is blown back in the close-up, as Voldemort's 'spirit' starts to rush through him, while he holds the Stone. In the final episode of the show it's revealed that the whole story has taken place in one sitting. However, the clothes the kids are wearing and the items around them are different in the pilot episode to every other episode. The sofa is a different design, the cushions appear etc. (00:00:45)
