Plot hole: When Charlotte kissed Naveen at the end, she should've turned into a frog as well because she was no longer a princess.
The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Directed by: John Musker, Ron Clements
Starring: Keith David, Anika Noni Rose, Oprah Winfrey, Bruno Campos, Michael-Leon Wooley
Suggested correction: When ordinary people kiss a frog, they don't transform into anything. (Perhaps they die from infection after a few days.) Charlotte was just an ordinary person. Tiana was chosen. She wished upon the star. Naveen and the consequences of kissing Naveen were a result of Tiana's wish.
Suggested correction: How? She was no longer a princess.
Tiana turned into a frog because she kissed Naveen without being a princess, so Charlotte should have, too.
Tiana broke the talisman that the voodoo man had, thus breaking any more frog-turning spell. I know Mama Odie said that Naveen and Tiana broke the spell when they got married, but Dr. Facilier was still responsible for the spell in the first place, and he died, so there's that.
Continuity mistake: The poster that Tiana has that her father wrote on says "Tiana's Place." When she finally gets her restaurant, the name is "Tiana's Palace" yet the menus still say "Tiana's Place." (01:29:00 - 01:30:00)
Continuity mistake: Near the end, Dr. Facilier has Tiana pinned down with his staff. After Tiana uses her tongue to grab the talisman from Facilier's hand, the staff is no longer anywhere to be seen.
Trivia: One of the Mardi Gras parade floats is inspired by The Little Mermaid's King Triton's throne. Jafar from Aladdin is on another float. (01:13:55)
Trivia: In the opening scene when Charlotte and Tiana are children, the camera scans Charlotte's bedroom. The tea set on the floor has 'Mrs. Potts & Chip' from "Beauty & the Beast" sitting on a tray. (00:01:25)
Tiana: There is no way I'm kissing a frog and eating a bug in the same day.
Ray: Don't make me light my butt!
Prince Naveen: Excuse me, but your accent, it is funny.
Ray: I'm a Cajun, bro. Born and bred in the bayou! Y'all not from 'round here, are ya?
Prince Naveen: Actually, we are from a place far, far away from this world.
Ray: Go to bed! Y'all from Shreveport?
Question: How did Tiana know that Naveen was going to marry Lottie? We don't find out until later that Lottie has to kiss Naveen in order for the spell to be broken and sure Lottie was attracted to Naveen but still, marriage wasn't mentioned so how did Tiana know? Did I miss something?
Answer: Naveen told Tiana about his plan to marry Lottie once they arrived in the swamp. After revealing that he's been cut off by his parents, he explains that he plans to regain his wealth by marrying her so that he'll inherit her father's prosperity.
Answer: Mama Odie tells Tiana and Naveen that Naveen must kiss a true princess in order to break the spell. Lottie is the princess of the Mardi gras parade so that would make her a princess and that would make it necessary for her to kiss Naveen and break the spell.
Tiana knew that Naveen was going to marry Lottie because Naveen tells her when they are running away from danger in the bayou. Naveen says 'when I marry Miss Charlotte LaBouff...' in an attempt to explain to Tiana how he intends to be rich again.
Naveen wasn't looking to marry a princess, just a "little honey whose daddy got dough", as said by the Shadow Man.
Question: When Tiana and Naveen get married in the Bayou they become human and appear in a church. What I want to know is did they physically leave the Bayou (e.g exit by boat ride), then arrange wedding plans, or did they literally magically appear in the church and everyone magically appeared at the wedding?
Answer: They physically left. Just because we didn't see it happen doesn't mean it didn't happen. It's a montage of their activities after they returned to human form.
I thought as much, but it would have been even better to see a montage of them physically leaving the bayou and planning their church wedding.
