Continuity mistake: Gladstone has a drink in Dr Nookey's office, but he doesn't pour it. It just appears in his hand.

Revealing mistake: Miss Fosdick searches in her filing cabinet, but there are no files visible only the file holders.

Continuity mistake: In the scene when Charles Hawtrey and some people rush up the stairs to see what all the fuss is about, Jim Dale goes down the stairs on a delivery trolley. Charles Hawtrey then says "Oh no!" and both he and the other people run down the stairs. In the next scene, Jim Dale appears at the bottom of the stairs and there are no people in sight, but in the next scene, Charles Hawtrey and the other people appear out of nowhere to rush down the stairs to avoid being hit by the trolley.

Continuity mistake: When Lady Puddleton (Dr Stoppidge) is holding the bed sheets before Dr Nookey gives her an injection, Lady Puddleton's hands are wide apart but in the next shot they are close together.

Continuity mistake: When Dr Stoppidge takes the bottle of surgical alcohol off the shelf, he takes it with his hand on the top of the bottle, but in the next shot he now has his hand on the bottom.

Continuity mistake: When Deidre says "I'm ready" to Dr Nookey when she is lying on the couch in his office, her left hand is on her thigh but in the next shot it is now on her dress.

Continuity mistake: In the scene when Kenneth Williams meets the patient Mr. Bean at his bed, Mr. Bean's legs are seen to be laying low. After a quick cut to Hattie Jacques and Patsy Rowlands, we return to Mr. Bean, and his legs are much higher than they were in the previous shot.

Character mistake: Dr Stoppidge's first name is Ernest, but when Dr Nookey sees him at the hospital party, he calls him "Charlie".

Continuity mistake: When Dr Nookey enters Goldie Locks' room to give her an injection, he is carrying a dish containing items to give an injection, including a bottle of serum. When he leaves the room after giving the injection, there is no sign of the serum bottle.

Continuity mistake: When Dr Nookey runs out of the X-Ray Room and trips over the cleaning lady's vacuum cleaner, he pulls the fuse box off the wall. At this point, the bottom wire connecting the fuse box to the wall has nothing around it, but in a close-up of the box in the next shot, there is now a red coiled cable around the wire.

Continuity mistake: When Dr Nookey tells Matron that Mr Carver is bringing over a friend to the clinic and Matron tells him "We're full up", the position of Nookey's fingers on the bottle he is holding change between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Ellen says "Jim is doing wonderful work here" to Mr Carver at the clinic, you can see that Mr Carver is looking directly at Ellen, but when the camera angle changes to behind Ellen in the next shot, Mr Carver is turning his head around and looks at Ellen again.

Continuity mistake: When Dr Nookey pushes Lady Puddleton into his office for her to be weighed, you can that Lady Puddleton is facing forwards, but when the camera angle changes to inside Nookey's office in the next shot, she is now facing backwards.

Continuity mistake: When Dr Nookey goes down the emergency exit stairs on the hospital trolley, he reaches the bottom of the stairs and Dr Stoppidge and several others run to avoid being hit by the trolley. In the next shot, Nookey is now back at the top of the stairs and reaches the bottom a second time.

Continuity mistake: When we first see the patient on the breathing apparatus lying in his bed during the sequence in which Dr Nookey tampers with the hospital's fuse box, there are some metal walking sticks next to the patient's bed. But after a shot of the breathing apparatus going haywire, we cut back to the patient and the metal walking sticks have disappeared.

Visible crew/equipment: When the two doctors and Miss Fosdick get into the car after attending the hospital, a light is visible in on the back of the black car as they drive off. (00:05:50)

Continuity mistake: When Mr Carver and Ellen are walking along outside the new clinic, a close-up shows them standing still.

Continuity mistake: When we see the couples dancing to the band at the beginning of the Hospital Buffet and Dance sequence, you can see a lady wearing an orange dress dancing with her partner and they are at the far end of the dance floor. In the next shot, they are now dancing near the band.

Continuity mistake: When Gladstone hands Dr Nookey a bottle of serum in his office, Nookey is initially holding the bottle in his left hand but in the next shot he is holding it in his right.

Continuity mistake: When Gladstone says "Just a quick slash!" to Lady Puddleton whilst holding a knife in his hand, the end of his nightcap is resting on the shoulder of his dressing gown. In the next shot, the end is now on the collar, and in the shot after that, it is back on the shoulder again.

Ellen Moore: I feel wonderful Mr Carver, I had no idea having one's appendix out could be so exhilarating. I feel ten years younger.
Frederick Carver: Splendid! Splendid.
Ellen Moore: Be honest now. Do I really look like a woman of forty?
Frederick Carver: You really feel as young as that?
Ellen Moore: No, that's what I am.
