Evie betrays Tracy. Brooke and Evie go to Mel's house and Brooke tells Mel everything about Tracy, making it sound like Tracy was the one who made Evie do everything. Evie acts like the victim. Mel kicks them out of the house. Mel sees Tracy's scars and Tracy goes into hysterics. Mel kisses Tracy's scarred arm and they go to sleep together.
More mistakes in Thirteen
Tracy: He was crippled, but only his body was cracked. It's not simple, nor is it an easy matter to explain. "Let's just leave it at that," she says and closes the holy book of lies. She covers her eyes, denying to herself what she thought happened.
Trivia: When Tracy is spinning on the playground equipment in the final scene, she is wearing the clothes that Evie wore when they went to the neighbor lifeguard Luke's house. This may be a call back to her missing Evie after she left or a representation of how Tracy's style changed over time. Also, when Tracy wakes up next to Mel in the end she looks disappointed. And I have come to think that she is upset because she wanted to wake up next to Evie again. (00:49:51 - 01:34:51)
Question: I read that Evan Rachel Wood's character, Tracy, is supposed to be Nikki Reed at the age when she was having the experiences that Tracy went through. Was the character Evie based on a girl that Nikki knew in real life?
