Corrected entry: When the bucket launches, Marlin and Nemo fly into a small plastic tank with a toy fish. The tank was filled with freshwater, which means Marlin and Nemo would have died in there before they had a chance to get out.

Correction: Salt water fish will die after a while if left in fresh water, but it takes between hours and days depending on the fish. In fact a common method to kill some parasites is to place the salt water fish in fresh water for a few minutes (it is not recommended to do it for more than 10 minutes). Marlin and Nemo were not in the tank for very long so would not have died, and probably would not have shown any adverse symptoms.

Corrected entry: Several tanks filled with fish and other sea creatures are scheduled to be transported from the Marine Life Institute in Morro Bay to the Marine Life Institute in Cleveland. The tanks are loaded onto a truck which says "Marine Life Cleveland" on the back and sides but the truck has a California license plate.

Correction: I have seen many vehicles where the plates states do not match the info printed / painted on their vehicles.

Corrected entry: The whale shark keeps bumping into nearby things, claiming she is nearsighted. She is actually farsighted (able to see at a distance). Nearsighted would indicate she can see nearby objects.

Correction: Destiny IS nearsighted. She can't see the objects that are far away until they're very close which is why she bumps into them.

Finding Dory mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Carol, the MLI employee, is first seen carrying the white bucket in the corridor and also when Carol thinks she located Hank, the bucket has absolutely no writing on it where the handle's attached on both sides, but when Dory looks down at the bucket suddenly "Destiny" is written on it.

Trivia: The first time we see Hank the octopus, he is pulling Dory's tank toward him. If you look at the wall just before he does this a picture of Darla, the villain from 'Finding Nemo'.

More trivia for Finding Dory

Question: Is it ever explained why Dory has her memory problems? Why she has such an incredibly bad memory, even for one of her species? Head injury, exposure to a chemical, genetic?

dizzyd

Chosen answer: In the absence of a neuropsychological work-up, we have only Dory's word for it: "I have short term memory loss...It runs in my family...at least, I think it does." So, Dory believes it to be genetic. At least, I think she does.

Michael Albert

Answer: Because she has short term memory loss.
