Continuity mistake: When Lance is describing the different types of heroin to Vincent, he points to the first two baggies with his right hand, then begins to point to the third baggie with his left index finger. When the shot changes back to the baggies, we can see him pointing with his right hand again. (00:27:15)

Continuity mistake: After giving Jules a beer, Paul looks over at Vincent to say he heard about the date with Mia. Vincent's right hand is at rest on the bar, but between shots his hand jumps to a different position, over his mouth. (00:24:50)

Continuity mistake: When Butch is choosing his weapon, he leaves a hammer on the counter, with half of the handle hanging loose off of it. When the angle changes, it has changed positions and now all is resting on the counter.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When Pumpkin and Honey Bunny are talking in the coffee diner at the start of the film, the sugar pot and milk pot on the diner table both constantly move between different shots throughout the conversation. The leaflet at the edge of the diner table also moves about between consecutive shots. (00:00:45 - 00:02:50)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: While Mia and Vincent are eating at Jack Rabbit Slims, Mia's cigarette keeps changing hands. She holds a cigarette in her right hand, reaches into her pants for her cigarette packet, and takes one from the pack so now she is holding two. She then asks Vincent to roll her one of his, and when the camera cuts back to her she is only holding the cigarette packet. (00:35:35)

Continuity mistake: At Jackrabbit Slim's, the cigarette in Mia's hand switches from right to left to right during the exchange about the $5 milkshake.

Continuity mistake: When the camera is focused on Marcellus and Butch tied up in the pawn shop's basement, Zed and Maynard walk past. Between shots, Maynard's shotgun changes hands. (01:38:45)

Continuity mistake: Vincent crashes his car into Lance's house. The front appears to be wrecked (after the crash we do see a large steam cloud coming from the car's front end which would indicate a ruptured radiator, thus rendering the car not drivable), yet after the ordeal, Vincent drives Mia home, and the car is fine.

Continuity mistake: During the opening conversation, a waitress pours Yolanda another cup of coffee. Once her cup is full, Yolanda switches from looking at the waitress to facing Ringo between shots. (00:01:05)

Continuity mistake: When Vincent and Jules are at Brett's apartment at the beginning of the movie, Jules takes the hamburger from Brett's table after he asks to taste it. The hamburger in the first shot simply contains cheese and ketchup, but when Jules bites it there is only a leaf of lettuce. Moreover, the hamburger appears first intact, but in the next shot it appears already bitten.

Suggested correction: The cheese is there when he bites into it, and there is only a piece of lettuce sticking out on one side, a side you don't see when he picks it up. You also can't see if there already was a bite taken out from that angle. My guess is, it's the same burger, no reason for it to be otherwise. When it only "appears" intact, it doesn't mean it is.

Continuity mistake: When Yolanda is standing on the counter during the robbery, she gets so upset while screaming at Jules that she has a big blob of spittle on the left side of her chin. We cut away and when we cut right back, the spittle blob is gone.

Continuity mistake: After being sprayed in the face with water while tied up in the basement, the next shot shows Butch and Marcellus Wallace having no water anywhere surrounding them on the ground.

Ultimate Warrior

Continuity mistake: In the pawn shop, Butch punches Marcellus in the head several times then grabs him by both shoulders. But after Marcellus says, "You better kill me," the shot changes and now Butch suddenly has his fist clenched again. (01:36:15)

Deliberate mistake: Both in the first scene and last scene of the movie, we see Yolanda and Ringo starting the robbery by jumping from their seat and start threatening the costumers. In the first scene, Yolanda says "And I'll execute every motherfucking last one of you." But in the last scene the line changes to "and I'll execute every one of you motherfuckers". Suggested correction: Tarantino has explained that this is not an error, rather, he did this on purpose. When we first examine the scene, we are seeing Ringo and Yolanda's conversation from their perspective. Obviously, because this is their conversation, what we hear first is probably what was actually said. However, at the end of the film, what is said is different because we are no longer viewing the situation from Ringo and Yolanda's perspective, but rather everyone else in the diner, most specifically Jules.

Sounds like a typical Tarantino excuse for a stupid blunder.

Question: When Jules and Vincent go to the students' flat at the beginning of the movie, Jules asks the guy on the couch to tell him where the briefcase is. He begins by saying "You. A flock of seagulls. Where is it?" What does he mean by calling him "a flock of seagulls"?

The_Iceman

Chosen answer: It's a reference to his hairstyle; A Flock Of Seagulls was a new wave band from the early 1980s who were as well known for their frontman's unusual hairstyle as their sound. You can learn more about them here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Flock_of_Seagulls.
