Revealing mistake: Throughout the film, the base station radio is not connected to an antenna. In many lengthy shots of the back of the radio we can see the power cord trailing out the back of the unit, but there is nothing plugged in to the antenna socket. This is especially annoying because base station radio problems are a key plot point.
Factual error: In the cardiac resuscitation scene with Brian Cranston, someone says "he's in atrial fibrillation... Give him 1 milligram of epinephrine." Wrong drug, in fact one that would very likely kill him immediately (maybe that's why he didn't make it!).
Revealing mistake: When Cap is driving the blue Chevrolet Silverado with Black Widow, the gear shift is in the up locked position, not lower on the column, indicating the truck was towed in the scene. (00:54:45)
Visible crew/equipment: When the doctor wants to study Electro, a green screen and some other things are reflected in his glasses. (01:14:10)
Continuity mistake: When Larry and Nick Daley first enter the British Museum, Nick takes his beanie off twice, in consecutive shots.
Factual error: When TCAS sounds on an airliner, it should include instructions for the pilot to climb or descend. The pilot should not have to call another plane to inform that pilot. It would take too much time.
Factual error: The Map of Europe used for plotting their route displays the Netherlands incorrectly, showing its two major central polders (low-lying reclaimed landmasses surrounded by dikes) which weren't drained and finally completed until 1968.
Factual error: The detective played by Rory Kinnear is shown in 1951 typing a request for Alan Turing's military records. He changes a name with correcting fluid - unknown in the UK in 1951.
Continuity mistake: In the very beginning Nicolas Cage is picking up his daughter. You see him standing outside his black Cadillac as she walks up. As they drive away we get an overhead view of the car driving away. If you look at the emblem on the trunk you can see it's an Infinity. The next time we see his car and throughout the rest of the movie it is the black Cadillac again. (00:01:15 - 00:01:55)
Continuity mistake: When the guys are brainstorming ideas, and Dale writes "Murder" on the board, the writing changes between shots.
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Themistocles first talks to Queen Gorgo, in the background you can see several extras, one of which is wearing obvious sneakers. (00:18:35)
Continuity mistake: When Kevin Costner tapes up the fat guy to the bathroom shower rod, his watch changes arms back and forth throughout the scene.
Factual error: Chris Kyle did not make Chief after his first deployment. He made Chief during his fourth deployment.
Revealing mistake: When the final race is under way, the silver Saleen S7 hits a Police SUV and makes it flip, you can see the smoke coming out of the bottom of the SUV where the cannon has fired to flip the SUV.
Plot hole: When April O'Neil calls Vernon Fenwick (drives the channel 6 van), he answers his phone and immediately says "O'Neil". When the scene cuts back to O'Neil, we see she called from a payphone. Fenwick would have no way to know it was her calling.
Deliberate mistake: In the scene where Emmet drives to work, you get Emmet's view of the dashboard with his hand switching on the radio. The car at that moment has no front window, perhaps to make the car look bigger from the inside. (00:04:50)
Factual error: When Koba steals an Armored Security Vehicle class M1117A Guardian, he kills the gunner from the turret and then somehow manages to use the 240B attached to the turret. First, it takes three men/apes to operate the ASV, and second, the ASV cannot be operated from the turret. In that scene, it is assumed that Koba is operating the entire vehicle, something most humans cannot do or do not know how to do. Let alone a 240B, MK19, or .50 Cal M2 Browning. The ASV turned in the direction of the wall, which was the only way that the Apes were able to breach the city walls. This is also kind of an important plot hole blunder too because if it were not for the breach from the ASV, the Apes would not have won. The other blunder from this is that the gunner would not have been exposed from the hatch, since the ASV was using .50Cal and MK19. No need to use the 240B.
Continuity mistake: In the first encounter with Brigham, Cage has one button on his jacket undone during one shot, and in the next shot it is buttoned up.
Factual error: SPOILER: Amy Dunne returns covered with blood. After being at the hospital, and in the interview/questioning, she is still covered with blood. After being medically examined, she would have been washed clean, not just dressed over all the mess. But it gets worse; when returning to Nick in their house, she has a crisp hospital garment, but is still covered in blood! And it gets even worse; when they are in the shower, the blood on her body, which by now would have been at least a day old, would have been dried, caked and brownish color, but what she washes off is very fresh.
Factual error: The solar panels (or mirrors) are facing away from the sun. The sun's position can be estimated from ground shadows and object highlights and the panels are facing in completely the wrong direction. (01:11:40)
Suggested correction: That isn't a plot hole. Vernon assumed April was the person calling him and was correct. People do this all the time in real life.
