How I Met Your Mother

Miracles - S3-E20

Continuity mistake: When Ted gets in the taxi, the code on the taxi is 6Z28. Then, it changes to 9Z72 right before the accident. Then back to 6Z28 right before it gets hit. To top that, the cab Barney wants to take to the hospital is also code 9Z72.

Everything Must Go - S3-E19

Continuity mistake: When Lily is selling her favourite dress and is saying how she got a two syllable damn, the flashback shows her with the hairstyle she got after Coming Back from San Francisco, even though she said it happened in 2004. She should have had her shorter, lighter coloured hair. (00:15:10)

Sandcastles in the Sand - S3-E16

Continuity mistake: When Lily goes to the bar with her friend Michelle, Barney says "I want her around all the time." It then cuts from Barney to Lily's slightly shocked looking face, obviously from a previous cut/scene change, sitting at the table with them - she should still be walking to the bar with Michelle.

Suggested correction: Those were different days. Robin agrees to watch Simon's practice before we see Michelle the first time, then the scene cuts to Robin watching the band practice, then the news feed and then the next scene with Michelle. All the character's clothes changed indicating a different time.

How I Met Everyone Else - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: During the flashback in which Barney recounts the story of how he and Ted met (which was previously shown in the pilot episode of the series), there is a green circular plaque (that reads "Winner of the Queen Cup") on the wall in the background which wasn't present in the pilot episode. Also, Barney's left arm is in different positions than it was in the pilot.

No Tomorrow - S3-E12

Continuity mistake: At the Saint Patrick's Day party when Barney says, "it's not cheating if her name has two adjacent vowels" his right hand is up near his left hand, pointing to his fingers. When the camera angle changes his hand is back at his stomach.

Wait For It... - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Ted goes over to Robin's apartment to yell about their breakup, Robin says "You shaved" and "I liked the beard," implying that this is the first time she has seen Ted since he shaved. But the night before she was in the kitchen at his apartment asking if he was okay with her dating Gael. At that point Ted had already shaved. (00:17:45)

Suggested correction: Many people buy another toothbrush to take on trips and since they were supposed to be going away, they probably decided to use them at home, as if this was their trip.

The whole point of the mistake is they say they have always shared a toothbrush. So why would they use separate on a trip?

Answer: After running the marathon for Marshall with no training, he's allowed to ride the subway for free. While sat on the train, the muscles in his legs start to seize up after the marathon to the point it is painful to move his legs. This is why he can't move them. It's the same reason your body aches after a good session at the gym the day before.

Answer: Barney ran a marathon without any training and over exerted his muscles. While he was able to walk after, later his leg muscles gave out and he couldn't move (or more likely stand). It is not uncommon when one works out too much to be sore the next day, even if they feel okay afterwards. Thus the saying "I'll feel that in the morning."
