Season 1 generally

Corrected entry: In the intro the characters are described with their function (high commander, military officer, etc.). And when they show Harry you hear "well, they had an extra seat" making it look like Harry went along for fun and isn't important. But he is the transmitter and he had to go with them or they wouldn't be able to make contact with their home planet. So he's not just "an extra seat" as is said in the intro.

electrictears

Correction: It is explained later in the series that Dick was hesitant about telling Harry his function for the mission because he didn't want him to know he had a transmitter in his head.

Saw III (2006)

Corrected entry: When Lynn rolls out of bed with Chris to go to work, she has an argument with Chris. He claims she does not talk to him anymore, knows her schedule, etc... Chris asks for a divorce as she heads out the door. Then in the end of the movie, after Jeff shoots Amanda, John Kramer claims Jeff and Lynn were married. Then there is a flashback to the bed scene with Chris, and John Kramer says, "the cheating wife." If Chris wanted her to divorce Jeff, it would be because they were happy. Lynn and Chris could not arrange to sleep together if Lynn was married to Jeff without Lynn talking to Chris. (00:18:10 - 01:42:15)

ujeremy

Correction: The implication is that Lynn and Chris had been sleeping together for a while. Chris doesn't like doing it in secret, which is why he asks Lynn to divorce Jeff.

Phaneron

Corrected entry: When Bell is in the Hotel room in El Paso where Chigurh is hiding he looks down and notices the vent screen screws lying on the floor, which means Chigurh un-screwed them to see if the money was in the vent shaft, but why did he do this when he knew there had been an incident there where Moss was shot and the money was taken by the Mexicans, why was Chigurh even in the room anyway.

Correction: The money was not taken by the Mexicans. Chigurh clearly has the money at the end of the movie when he purchases the boy's shirt to use as an arm sling. The Mexicans never found the money because they didn't know where it was. Chigurh previously knew that Moss hid the money in a ventilation duct and correctly guessed that Moss hid it in one again.

Blade: Trinity (2004)

Corrected entry: In the scene when Danica and Drake go to bed together, there is a close up shot of Danica's cross necklace. In that shot, you can see wrinkles in a flesh colored shirt meant to cover up her chest, but still look like she has nothing on under her robe. Later in the scene when Danica takes the necklace off, the shirt is obviously gone. (01:05:30 - 01:07:15)

Correction: At no point is the actress wearing a flesh colored shirt. You can even very clearly see the inside sides of her breasts through most of the scene. The only thing that would even remotely resemble wrinkles in a shirt would be the shadows from her locks of hair.

The Avengers (2012)

Corrected entry: Thor's hammer has a slightly altered appearance in this film from how it was seen in Thor. Where before it had a mostly brown handle with a brown strap at the end, now the end of the shaft has a silver cap, with the brown strap connected to each side, and the handle is more prominently ringed by silver. While some may rationalize this by suggesting maybe Asgard redesigned it between movies, remember that this is an ancient weapon and the Asgard do not seem like the type of people who would alter their holy artifacts with superficial changes.

Vader47000

Correction: Saying that the Asgardians "do not seem like the type of people who would alter their holy artifacts with superficial changes" is just your opinion. Unless you can provide irrefutable evidence that neither Thor nor the Asgardians would alter his hammer, then it isn't a mistake. Especially when you take into account that the look of Thor's hammer has undergone dramatic changes before in the comics.

The X-Files Movie (1998)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Scully and Mulder chase the tankers, and go straight instead of left or right, Mulder asks how many times he's been wrong in the five years they've worked together. On the film, Scully says nothing (her lips don't move), but a voice that doesn't even sound like her says, "Never."

Correction: That's because Mulder is the one who says "Never." The full line is "Never. At least not driving anyway."

Phaneron

Corrected entry: When Bruce transforms into the Hulk the first time,he wakes up in Guatemala. Then he was in Chiapas, Mexico, and after that in the USA. How did he make it, without any money or credit or debit cards? Also, if he crossed the border, somebody would recognize him, because he is a US Army fugitive.

Correction: Banner has been on the run from the authorities for quite a while. I think it's safe to say he knows how to get around. As for crossing into U.S. territory, people illegally sneak across the United States border daily, so why couldn't Banner?

Phaneron

Corrected entry: When Willy Wonka is walking out of the factory with his cane, Charlie and all the kids are wearing heavy coats, hats and scarves, yet there are green leaves on all the trees you can see, signifying spring/summer.

Correction: That just means that the weather was unseasonably cold.

Phaneron

Corrected entry: It is explained that the Vibranium shield absorbs vibration, and when shot at, bullets fall to the ground. Surely this would mean when thrown at a wall, the shield would absorb the vibration from the impact and fall to the ground, not bounce around as it does on numerous occasions.

Correction: Although it is not explained in the movie, in the comics Cap's shield is composed of a unique vibranium-Iron alloy that absorbs vibrations, and it ricochets because it absorbs and uses the energy from the impact to keep its momentum.

X-COPS - S7-E12

Corrected entry: The tv-esque footage of the show is supposed to be being recorded as the investigation goes on, it's not pre-recorded or supposed to be airing as we watch, yet there is a perfectly placed 'blur circle' following the face of the prostitute. That kind of thing is generally done when filming is done and being edited for tv; even if for whatever reason they decided to blur her face during filming, the blur point follows her face perfectly despite her flailing and panicking, which is highly unlikely.

Correction: Much like the show COPS which this episode crosses over with, the footage is presented in a raw format and always appears to be in the process of being recorded. The episode as we see it is how the viewers of the X-Files universe would see the "episode" of COPS with Mulder and Scully.

Corrected entry: Why would Austin be ashamed to admit has has a Swedish made penis enlarger pump, considering he wrote a book on them?

Correction: Because he has a crush on Vanessa and doesn't want her to know his genitalia is small.

Knowing (2009)

Corrected entry: The transit cop on the NYC subway is the same actor as the policeman in the crash scene where Diana is killed.

Correction: It's not considered a movie mistake for an actor to play multiple roles.

Borat (2006)

Corrected entry: In the RV with the frat boys, in one shot you can see a microphone attached to the wall in the front of the RV.

Correction: This movie is presented in a documentary format, therefore mistakes pertaining to visible equipment are not valid.

Celtic Pride (1996)

Corrected entry: At the time the film was made, the Celtics team sucked, always finishing low in their division but for movie purposes they are a good team because they made it to the NBA finals. When Mike and Jimmy are talking to Larry Bird they comment on the Celtics real-life situation that they used to be good but are not any more. Then Bird replies saying he hates fans like that who support the team when they are winning and don't support them when they are losing. Obviously forgetting about the movie plot where the Celtics are actually supposed to be a good team that wins most of their matches, get to the NBA Finals and only losing in 7 games to the team with the best player in the league.

Correction: Mike remarks that he and Jimmy stopped liking the Celtics after Larry Bird retired, indicating the Celtics immediately became a bad team (Bird retired in 1992 and the film presumably takes place in 1996). Although the Celtics portrayed in the movie have eventually become a good team, Mike has to keep his bluff going in order to win Lewis Scott over and unfortunately isn't quick enough on his feet to come up with a better lie.

Signs (2002)

Corrected entry: Throughout the movie, the remaining Dog Isabelle can be heard barking when the Aliens are near or she detects hostility. However, in the scene where Graham sees the Alien on the Roof the Dog isn't heard - even when Graham and Merril are running round the outside of the house making noise and shouting.

Correction: Since it is never made known where the dog is during this scene, this can't be considered a plot hole.

Correction: Obviously Russ Cargill had them placed back in the dome through the same opening where the bomb is placed.

Phaneron

Corrected entry: In the scene where Erik is in the bar in Argentina, after the fight starts the bartender says "Oye, cabron". From his accent it's obvious that he's supposed to be a native Argentinian, but the word "cabron" is never used in the Argentinian dialect - it's mostly used in Mexico and Spain.

Correction: This doesn't mean a person in Argentina cannot use that word. I know some American people that like to say "scheisse" even though it is a German word.

Phaneron

Correction: The authorities could easily obtain a sample of their fingerprints from any of the items they touched in their hotel room.

Phaneron

Corrected entry: During the scene with the SR-71 Blackbird, while Erik is on the wheel assembly, Professor X yells 'Hank take my hand' several times. Hank is flying the plane. Erik is the one he is trying to save from falling.

Good Job!

Correction: He says Erik. Xavier's accent and the noise surrounding the scene just make it sound like he is saying Hank.

Phaneron

Phaneron is correct. Xavier does say "Erik." You can hear the difference, especially in the end sound where you can hear the "ik" sound instead of "ŋk" sound he makes when saying Hank's name (like he did a few minutes earlier in the scene).

Bishop73

He definitely says Hank. It's not even close to Erik, he's been saying Erik the whole movie and it has never sounded different due to his accent.

I just watched this scene on YouTube and he unequivocally says "Erik." You can even see his mouth move when he says the second syllable, whereas "Hank" is a one-syllable word and would not require moving the mouth mid-word.

Phaneron

It also becomes more obvious that he is saying "Erik" when the YouTube clip is played at slower speeds.

Spaceballs (1987)

Corrected entry: At the speed at which Vespa's car is being pulled into Spaceball-1 by the tractor beam, they would have already been captured before Lone Starr and Barf could have gotten to them.

jbrbbt

Correction: This is kind of a joke. We even see a similar occurrence later in the movie when the heroes (or their stunt doubles) dive through a slowly closing door which then conveniently closes rapidly after they go through.
