Trivia: One of von Tresckow's aides is played by Philipp von Schulthess, the grandson of Claus von Stauffenberg. In the film, Stauffenberg's wife is pregnant with Philipp's mother.

Trivia: Col. von Stauffenberg is inspired to use Operation Valkyrie to assassinate Hitler while listening to Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries". Stauffenberg actually disliked Wagner's music.

Factual error: Approximately three quarters of the way in to the film, there is a close up of a German soldier handing an officer a file of documents. The helmet that the soldier is wearing is a post war 1960s version. This can be determined by the lack of an air vent and rivet on the side of the helmet.
