Continuity mistake: Tim is showing the Nanny's phone to the others. He plays the message from his parents, but does it tapping the bottom part of the touchscreen, while the media file and its "play" button as established in previous views, is at the top. Likewise, when he turns towards Jane asking "Do you want to be taken care of?" he is pointing at the bottom of the device, but in the reverse shot his finger is at the top. (00:43:30)
Factual error: The soldiers had 506 Regiment's helmet markings of the 101st Airborne, and on their sleeves the 82nd Airborne and 1st Division shoulder patches.
Continuity mistake: Look at the forehead of the hotel manager. Everytime he raises his eyebrows, you can see his prosthetic forehead piece.
Revealing mistake: During the dance number in the airport, Santa grabs a security guard who then starts break dancing. It's obvious this dancer is a stunt double as he's younger and skinnier than the real guard.
Other mistake: Vaughn was sleeping in the back seat of the van with his head leaning on Gina's shoulder. When the collision occurred, his body somehow straightened up and went head first between the front bucket seats, through the front windshield, and he was ejected/killed. Based on his sleeping position in the van, he should have rolled forward and been kept in the back seat by hitting the front seats. A sleeping person is also less likely to be injured/killed because the body doesn't stiffen preparing for impact. If the accident actually happened as portrayed in the movie, Vaughn's body should have had visible cuts and be covered in blood, not just have a small amount of blood coming out of the side of his mouth. (00:07:53)
Other mistake: Dolittle starts with a voiceover narrative explaining how Dr Dolittle was deeply in love with a beautiful woman called Lily. On an ocean voyage Lily disappeared and was presumed dead. Dr Dolittle never got over Lily's loss. As a child I recall reading all of Hugh Lofting's Dr Dolittle books (now generally castigated for political incorrectness) and I am 100% certain that Dr Dolittle was unmarried, and never once had the slightest romantic inclinations towards any woman.
Other mistake: The rectangular area of skin cut from the dead deer's rear side was not wide enough (or at the correct angle) to encompass the killer's entire bloody hand print; it would have missed the "pinky" finger (and possibly the tips of the second, third, and fourth fingers). Because the fingers were spread out, a shape more like an inverted isosceles trapezoid (or a much wider rectangle) would have been necessary. (00:42:52 - 00:44:09)
Factual error: When John Thornton is in the bar, Hal comes up and punches him in the face. They fight and argue, and Thornton proceeds to say that Hal "sucker punched" him. However, the term sucker punch was first known to be used in 1926 while Call of the Wild was published in 1903. The story itself took place in the 1890s.
Factual error: The river that Tyler Rake falls into near the end of the film, the Buriganga, is one of the most polluted rivers not only in Bangladesh, but in the world. There is no way the water is as clear as it appears when Tyler falls into it. It was done for effect, but nonetheless it's not accurate.
Suggested correction: The river is certainly polluted. But unless you have evidence of the view from under the surface, looking up, with the sun shining down, it's impossible to say that the water in that situation wouldn't look as clear as shown.
Continuity mistake: David Spade just sat down with the prankster blind date. When she (kinda accurately) says "By the way, the age thing..." his hand in a blink goes from the table to the back of the couch. (00:02:20)
Factual error: Apex, played by Robert Maillet (a retired professional wrestler 6'11" and 350 pounds), forcefully slams Becky (played by 5' tall fifteen-year-old Lulu Wilson who probably weighs under 100 pounds) horizontally with her back hitting the ground from waist-high yet Becky is able to get up with no incapacitating injury that would be expected. Becky also manages to brutally kill him (as well as the three other neo-Nazis).
Continuity mistake: Bernice's bangs go back and forth between having a small section separated from the rest to not separated. Before she kisses Thomas, her bangs are separated, but combed together when they are done kissing. (00:21:56)
Character mistake: Deputy Becky told Sheriff Justin that Vivian's "been murdered." Discovering a dead body with cuts/scratches, a broken ankle, and a head wound (next to a rock with blood on it) does not automatically mean the person was murdered, and the Sheriff/police should have conducted a thorough investigation before making any conclusion about the cause of death. The death could have been accidental, such as by tripping while fleeing a wild animal. (00:11:55 - 00:13:29)
Continuity mistake: The appearance of Grace's house by the front door (to the left of the screen) changes from the time Billy is standing along the road to when he meets his mother half-way. At first, the side of the house is mostly white; it is mostly brown thereafter. The garage area to Billy's left also changes color from brown to white. (00:05:22)
Continuity mistake: Monica's station wagon and the moving van Jacob drove to their new property in Arkansas are not parked in the same positions moments after their arrival. Initially, both vehicles are at some distance from the mobile home (or trailer) and are roughly parallel. When the camera shifts to a view from the vehicles toward the mobile home, the vehicles are suddenly a lot closer and their front ends are angled toward each other. (00:02:13)
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, the blue car is parked on the far right of the screen or at least one car length from the doctor's front door. Dr. Huggins says goodbye to the couple with the baby, who walk toward their car. After the burglars-to-be (turned robbers) are shown watching from a distance, the camera returns to the doctor's front door. The blue car is now near the center of the screen and it drives away toward the right of the screen - going past the place it had been parked.
Continuity mistake: During the diner scene, once Leilani covers the imaginary bodycam and starts talking about his murderous beard, her hand position keeps changing between shots, together with the phone's position, sometimes close to her body, other times closer to the fries. And the phone is in an entirely different spot in the close-up when it starts vibrating. (00:16:35)
Continuity mistake: After Wes was clobbered and on the floor, he had a long stream of water/mucus coming out of his nose or mouth and his lips were wet when he was standing up, but his lips/mouth/nose were totally dry when the killer put his gloved hand over Wes' right shoulder. (00:33:40)
Revealing mistake: When Maya Rudolph and Tim Meadows are in their car at the drive-in theatre, whilst Maya Rudolph says "We got Hubie Dubois spying on everybody", there is a close-up shot of the wing mirror with Hubie's car reflected in it, along with several other cars and a building in the background also reflected. Despite being a reflection, any text or numbers reflected in the mirror are not reversed. The number plate on Hubie's car is spelled out forwards, and the sign "Salem Drive In" on the building in the background is spelled forwards also, and not reversed as they normally would be in a reflection. (00:49:17)
Revealing mistake: When the black cat was going up the staircase and got to the first landing, it turned its head to look directly at the camera, then continued climbing the staircase. (00:08:13)
