Character mistake: Although Henry borrowed two books on crime scene investigation from the used book store, he obviously did not learn enough, especially about forensic science. For example, shooting from the tree house could be determined by the location/slant of the bullet in Glenn's head/body, and cutting off tree branches that would obstruct the line of fire could be evidence of pre-meditation. Henry may have thought he planned the perfect murder, but it was far from that. (00:30:30)
Other mistake: The Space Agency is trying to use an android mechanism (Human 2.0) to go to The Void and make first contact. Their first attempt at putting a human brain into the android fails. The solution is to make the android mechanism imprint human cells to facilitate the brain/android connection. The Agency is up against a time constraint, and someone comes up with the idea of using military Humans 2.0 to go on the voyage. Wait a minute! So now we learn there are other Humans 2.0 in existence? Wouldn't whoever made those already know how to solve the human brain/android interface? Why is the Space Agency reinventing the wheel? Factual error: The man cutting through the door is pictured holding a torch, but that type of torch is not a cutting torch. You also see a showering of sparks as though a grinder is being used. (00:42:00 - 00:43:00)
Continuity mistake: While Jim is narrating his story, he gets to the point when his son was hit by a drunk driver. The line slows down, but when it cuts to a close-up of Renée Zellweger saying "Sorry Jim", you see the trays shift. Only, they are back in the exact same spot as before when the close-up is over. Factual error: When Willie is taken from the hospital to appear in a criminal lineup, he is wearing a special watch he received for his birthday. When you are admitted into the hospital, the first thing you have to remove is a watch and/or jewelry.
Continuity mistake: Levi took two mouth-shaped bites out of his blue frosted toaster pastry, leaving a small piece between the mouth-shaped bites. Before taking another bite, the bite marks on his pastry are different. The blue frosting also changes sides, from facing him to facing Danny. (01:14:10)
Continuity mistake: Charlie was standing in the hole he dug and his head was below ground-level, but when Eliza was talking to him, Charlie's head was above-ground. Half of Charlie's back was above-ground when his mother [Toni Collette] was outside. Front views of Charlie standing in the hole still showed him against dirt (head below surface-level) even after he was just shown with his head above-ground. (00:51:10 - 00:51:46)
Factual error: When the bank robbers pull the money out of the vault, they claim all the cash is from 1982. Yet most of the bills have large faces, which was introduced into rotation in 1996.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, Cass is blackmailing Mira about the true nature of her little trip. She calls Liam up; during the scene, she is holding the hanger in a different way between shots (left hand on the hook, or under it). (00:04:00)
Continuity mistake: Kate at the beginning of the movie asks Demerius, the kid who is reading a manga, to read some of it loudly for the whole class. When she addresses him first, the book on his desk changes position between shots, repeatedly. (00:01:20)
Revealing mistake: Addison is driving straight, but cars behind him are shown going around a curve. (Use of a green screen). (00:55:50)
Continuity mistake: While racing through a parking complex to get to his daughter at the hospital, Lin ramps out of the exit and hits the font of his car on the ground leaving some damage, and even a part of the bumper hanging off. However in subsequent shots, the vehicle is undamaged. (00:02:50)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, Regina is looking at pictures and messages on her phone. There's no solid continuity between close-ups and wider shots, with the hand position changing suddenly most times. (00:01:10)
Continuity mistake: Lynn Jackson collects things from the desk and looks at George Pierce, who tells her "I'll talk to him", clutching his smartphone to his chest. Next shot and his arm is down his side. (00:18:10)
Continuity mistake: Priscila carries Helen's bag while she gets her seat. She gives her the bag using her left, while she keeps her own in her right hand. Cut, and Pauline Collins is turning around passing her bag from the left hand to the right. (00:07:40)
Continuity mistake: The protagonist is driving his diminutive car to the villa. In the view from the villa (Avishai Cohen's name pops up) you can see a large shadow covering the area of the gate. In the reverse shot that part of the road is fully lit. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: Edmund and his business partner pull over in front of the hotel. They walk out of the car, and the woman is holding a clipboard in her left hand and her smartphone in her right. When they get through the hotel doors though, she is thumbing her phone in her left hand and the clipboard is now encased in a whole document folder she did not leave the car with, in her right hand. Continuity mistake: Izzy gets out of the car of her one night stand and lights up a cigarette. She begins to type on her phone, phone in the left, cig in the right. A jogger bumps her and in the next shot she coughs on purpose to try and make her put the cigarette out. From now on, Izzy's phone is in her right hand and her cigarette in her left hand. (00:08:05)
Visible crew/equipment: When Renton is singing at the pub, he approaches Simon playing the piano to let him sing a line. In the shot before he places the microphone under Simon's mouth, Renton is shown moving the microphone away from his mouth, and a camera can be seen attached to the microphone, to film the shots from the perspective of the microphone. Continuity mistake: Mario Pitagora is sipping ice tea in the garden, and then starts explaining to his "son" the nature of his business. His hand changes position on the glass repeatedly between shots, on the rim or lower. (00:27:10)
